Kabeer Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Considering it too..it's just a bit pricey when looking at all my expenses at the moment. I await impressions anxiously.
Guest sachu Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Everybody is considered a dickhead by someone. And $650.00 sounds doable, thanks. Who's considering purchasing the LCD-2? Am on the list..when sankar emailed me last night i replied asking when to pay and what's he total including shipping..I know I am on the list. Wow, a lot of you are doing a show down. I do hope the LCD-2 wins, because I don't want to empower that crazy Feifei, but I can understand keeping the winner. I wonder if Audeze will consider custom wood choices if I can supply the wood? I agree...made in USA and Canada FTW...the pads are custom made by JMoney hence Canada (before anyone flames me for that) .. I asked about custom wood choices but they won't be doing that at least for this run..They have chosen to go with cherry for this run..expect at least a 100 LCD-2s is what I am told.
AmanGeorge Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Wow, a lot of you are doing a show down. I do hope the LCD-2 wins, because I don't want to empower that crazy Feifei, but I can understand keeping the winner. I have a feeling it'll be the LCD-2 in any case. I wonder if Audeze will consider custom wood choices if I can supply the wood? The one thing I'm worried about is that the HE-5 seemed much more difficult to drive at RMAF - if nothing has changed since then, they probably won't survive the shootout for me - my amp wasn't totally up to the task in Denver.
luvdunhill Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 I wonder if Audeze will consider custom wood choices if I can supply the wood? Markl would consider some custom cups, if you provide the wood and .. well, make them. Heck, I would too
swt61 Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 Any wood I send to Markl will be to beat him over the head with, but thanks for your input.
guzziguy Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 I can think of better uses for it, but that's besides the point.
Guest sachu Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 MPI, Extrapolating the freq response from the waterfall plot is not right as i forgot that it is measured from a 1m IEC baffle..full spectrum freq response plot will be posted in 2 days it seems. The wood finish also is going to be something other than Cherry..
Trav Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 from a cerebral standpoint why do derive more excitement over this beast than the JH-13?
Dusty Chalk Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 Who to the what to the when how? (Don't know if the missing pronoun is "you" or "I". And if it's "I", then you should probably be posting to the existential crisis hotline.)
jp11801 Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 from a cerebral standpoint why do derive more excitement over this beast than the JH-13? wanker:chair:
swt61 Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 from a cerebral standpoint why do derive more excitement over this beast than the JH-13? Apple meet Orange.
Augsburger Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 "from a cerebral standpoint why do derive more excitement over this beast than the JH-13? " Uhhhh, the LD-2s have moar woodsey?
cetoole Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 from a cerebral standpoint why do derive more excitement over this beast than the JH-13? Prefer fullsize headphones to in ear ones? Half the retail cost, and probably able to be sold for more. Not convinced on the absolute superiority of the JH13.
Currawong Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 You evil bastards, you now have me wondering if I shouldn't consider orthos instead of Stax as I wont have to get more amps. Look forward to the shootouts definitely.
jp11801 Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 Not convinced on the absolute superiority of the JH13. U R wrong drink 3 beers as your punishment
mypasswordis Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 U R wrong drink 3 beers as your punishment While having the JH13 order page open
Kabeer Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 While having the JH13 order page open Youd need at least 3 beers in you to order a JH13
morphsci Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 I'd need a lot more than three whisk[e]ys, let alone beers, in me to order a JH-13.
mypasswordis Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 Youd need at least 3 beers in you to order a JH13 Please, I'd have to be beat up, bound and gagged, with my loved ones' lives on the line before I'd order a JH13. Nah, I might try it if I had a couple grand to spare, but uh... I don't.
Sherwood Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 Make a couple grand. These things are insane.
Dusty Chalk Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 You evil bastards, you now have me wondering if I shouldn't consider orthos instead of Stax as I wont have to get more amps. Look forward to the shootouts definitely.Orthodynamics are amp-hungry, you have at least one really good amp? In which case, yes, go for it, completely worth it.
Kabeer Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 Make a couple grand. These things are insane. Just gotto convince Audeze to make custom Ortho iems now
Guest sachu Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 Just gotto convince Audeze to make custom Ortho iems now Now that would be pretty gnarly!!
mypasswordis Posted November 13, 2009 Report Posted November 13, 2009 I might actually go for something like that. If I saw a YH-5M pop up FS I'd buy it in a flash. One of the manliest precision instruments ever made.
