blessingx Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Just a preview, but... iPod & MP3 Headphones | Noise Cancelling Head phones - Bowers & Wilkins. Not so sure about those pads.
morphsci Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 ... Not so sure about those pads. That is kind of weird. I wonder why they went that route instead of just using sonically transparent fabric?
ojnihs Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 I like B&W speakers, but I'm not a fan of the way those headphones look
Sherwood Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 I'd be surprised if those don't suck.
jinp6301 Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 I'd be surprised if they suck B&W makes good (but overpriced) stuff
Guest sachu Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Bah..if those headphones sound anything like their speakers..i'd stay the hell away from them
Torpedo Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Bah..if those headphones sound anything like their speakers..i'd stay the hell away from them Hahahaha, well, not all their speakers suck, but for the price, you can do better Regarding the phones, I can't say looking at that. Maybe they sound good, but I fear they're going to be expensive
Sherwood Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 I'd be surprised if they suck B&W makes good (but overpriced) stuff I'd also be surprised if B&W made them. I'm guessing they're putting their name on an OEM. In any case, the mere inclusion of noise cancelling means, to me, that these shouldn't be treated as headphones in their own right, but as branded companion pieces to their speakers for well-heeled connoisseurs to wear while not in their mahogany libraries. Not to be overly stereotypical.

Not to be overly stereotypical. My library uses Madgascar Ebony. Bully on you, I say But yeah, I'd be surpirsed if they built them, too. And I think the pads are indeed very odd.
faust3d Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Nothing odd about the pads Bose QC3 B&W P5
laxx Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 I can imagine the ear sweat generated from these.
Dusty Chalk Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 You know, that's a damn good point -- they call them noise cancelling, but then they go and say this under "isolation":For those who don’t need full noise cancelling headphones, it’s perfect for listening to music on the go.So I'm thinking, "not".
darthsilverice Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Looks like its got some bling to it so I'll second that its probably going to be quite pricey.
ktm Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Expensive? You bet! Good? I hope so. There have been too many companies willing to use their name to sell crappy rebadged gear. Only time will tell. Either way, I'm way too cheap to be 1st in line for those.
dsavitsk Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 They look a little like the headphones used for hearing tests when I was in elementary school.
Cankin Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 I am surprised that they copied the look of DT48, but if it sounds as good as their speakers, I'd like to try one
manaox2 Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 They look a little like the headphones used for hearing tests when I was in elementary school. Mine were blue and white with blue hollow rubber pads.
Smeggy Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 I suspect, aside from the narrow headband they'll be quite comfy. No idea how they might sound. I like flat pads on supras as long as it's not uncovered foam, that just gets itchy.
naamanf Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Here is hoping they don't sound like B&W speakers.
Smeggy Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 I haven't heard any B&W speakers since the mid 80s.
Guest sachu Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Here is hoping they don't sound like B&W speakers. haha...we think alike on that front Namaan.
