diebenkorn Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 If you look at the Richard Pierce review on amazon for this book it sums up exactly what I think of this book. Exceptionally clear writing and highly recommended. Quote
Salt Peanuts Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Now reading now, but very recently finished Dexter in the Dark and Stardust (again). Quote
diebenkorn Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 Reading Jim Butcher and Simon Green books, fun stuff. Quote
postjack Posted July 3, 2008 Report Posted July 3, 2008 did I already post this? I started it a few weeks back, then got caught up in something else, now I'm back into it. Its really really good. Sometimes Stephenson's prose gets a little too fast and tangent-y for me, but his random bits of laugh out loud humor keep me interested until I get a feel for the characters. Quote
Dusty Chalk Posted July 3, 2008 Report Posted July 3, 2008 Yeah, that's one of my favorites by him. It just gets better and better until the end, and then it's just over. Quote
Dusty Chalk Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 (edited) Inglorious Basterds (sic) -- I really hope this movie gets made, it'll make up for Deathproof. Insta-classic. I would even go so far as to suggest that he leaked it on purpose, because he knows how good it is. Edited August 9, 2008 by Dusty Chalk Quote

Chekhonte Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 I'm trying swann's way again after it proved too much for my shitty attention span. Now that I'm on paxil, concentration isn't a problem and I"m loving this book. I can't believe what I was missing before my anxiety was treated. Quote

Chekhonte Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 Paul Auster New York Trilogy Nice. I read those stories about 8 years ago and loved them. I remember city of glass being my favorite. If you like his style I highly recommend In the Country of Last Things. Quote
