tom_hankins Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 Flying us to Dallas and back, along with a suite at the Gaylord texan hotel in Grapevine and seats in one of the Sky Box suites at the new Cowboys stadium for the Falcons/Cowboys game. Leave in the A.M. and get back Monday. GO FALCONS!!
digger945 Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 Wow, that would be like a mini vacation to me! I was at the cotton bowl a couple of times when I lived in Dallas/Plano and this new stadium is supposed to be(from what I've seen online and the paper) one of the nicest stadiums around. Hope you guys have a blast!
luvdunhill Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 (edited) one of the nicest stadiums around just don't ask what the average seat in the house costs http://deadspin.com/5344216/cowboys-stadium-offers-valuable-seating-behind-this-brick-wall Edited October 23, 2009 by luvdunhill
tom_hankins Posted October 23, 2009 Author Report Posted October 23, 2009 I'll be in the sky box with bartender and the full food layout. LOL, nice weekend getaway. I used to live outside of Dallas in the sticks, couple of friends are going to meet us Sat. night for dinner at the Hotel.
Fitz Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 Lucky bastard! You better have a good enough time for all of us.
tom_hankins Posted October 23, 2009 Author Report Posted October 23, 2009 Lucky bastard! You better have a good enough time for all of us. It's nice being a kept man.
Hopstretch Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 It's nice being a kept man. Amen. I lived in DC long enough to still have some residual dislike for the Cowboys. Make sure you take a dump there.
mrarroyo Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 That is one nice trip you will be taking, sure hope you enjoy it.
Wmcmanus Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 Be careful, they kill people in Dallas for cheering against the Cowboys, and barbeque up them there ribs. Good ole' fashioned Texas cookin' at it's best!
tom_hankins Posted October 23, 2009 Author Report Posted October 23, 2009 Be careful, they kill people in Dallas for cheering against the Cowboys, and barbeque up them there ribs. Good ole' fashioned Texas cookin' at it's best! They're picky enough about BBQ ribs there that I will probably be safe from that. But I will be sporting a falcons hat at the game.
Augsburger Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 Wow, congratulations. I had no idea your wife worked for Goldman Sachs.
Dusty Chalk Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 Wow, she won an internal lottery or something? Or was that some sort of reward for a job well done? Or does everyone at that company get to do that?
tom_hankins Posted October 24, 2009 Author Report Posted October 24, 2009 The Gaylord Hotel is a Hotel partner of her company. She books avents in there (and others) Hotels. Some of the places we have got to stay because of of her job have been way over the top. We also have a 4 day 3 night trip when we get time to a killer place, the Wyndham resort in the Dominican republic.
