Grahame
Love it or hate it, the music of the Noughties was inescapable, coming from adverts, video games and that newfangled gadget, the iPod. This is the Telegraph's list of the songs that defined the decade. 100 songs that defined the Noughties - Telegraph Top 10 as videos on Muzu.tv Telegraph Music Videos on MUZU TV So this is what da Kidz have been listening to. God, I feel old. Where's Hopstretch when you need him.

Fitz
So this is what da Kidz have been listening to. Meh, I'm only 24 and I don't even know what the hell most of the stuff on that list is.
Duggeh
I spent the noughties listening to my audiobook of the bible, read by stephen hawking, on repeat. Much more fun.
spritzer
So much utter fucking trash on that list but there is some good stuff in between. Journey FTW!!
Sherwood
Wow, "thou shalt always kill" made the list? That song is fantastic.
boomana
Eeek. I only know about 15 of those songs and not too many more artists. Guess I'm getting old.

Dusty Chalk
It's not entirely crap -- I have to admit to not "getting" hip-hop, so a good 25-50% is lost on me, but there's some really good stuff on there. My girl Kylie is in the top 10. And it's definitely slanted towards "that" side of the pond.
Chekhonte
That list is god awful. Nothing from Kid A was on it which is still probably the best album to come out this century.
mypasswordis
Dear god, Amy Winehouse's worst song - about herself being a druggie and not wanting help - is at the top of the list. That's what defines this decade? I'd say the songs got worse as you went up the list but I haven't heard most of the songs below the 30th or so. After seeing Winehouse as number 1, I stopped reading.
Dusty Chalk
You should at least check out the artists, they're not all bad. I say there choice for #1 is pretty brave, but not indicative of the quality of the rest of the list. I mean, c'mon, who here (besides me) doesn't love U2? Dusty Chalk
Nope, definitely not worth your time, but then again, you have much more discerning tastes than the average bear.

Grahame
A neighbour pointed out that Glee (TV series) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia featured #81 and #1 in the pilot, for what its worth.

I know a little under half the tracks on that list and there's definitely some good stuff in there. Doesn't change my opinion that the 90s was one of the poorer decades for music though. I usually call them the "naughts" or the "oughts".
