A W10Ltd was offered in trade for my RS-1 at the other site. Have not found much info on this phone in the hour or so I looked. I'll research more later. His description "these are the limited edition woodies, released after the original w10vtg. it's a different sounding beast, cleaner and more focused than the vintage. bought them used here in excellent condition with original cardboard box.

Wonder if anyone would care to comment on their interpretation of the sound ... especially as it relates to the W5000 or AD2000, or even compared to the RS-1.

I've pulled every head-fi review I can find and the precious little info here and elsewhere. I still need to check the forums over at Uncle Wilsons. Overlunge's review was helpful. Apparently these are a love/hate relationship with most preferring the VTG.

Opinions regarding the value or the sound are still appreciated.

I'd dew et, given financial equity (I.E. I'd have no problem receiving a pair of W10Ltd's, the hard part would be is it worth what I could get for an RS-1). But that's entirely blind (having never heard the AT's).

You might want to search a little harder on HF. I remember there was a guy a couple years ago who compared and possibly owned the entire AT woody line all the way up to the W5000. There was this one post I particularly remember being 'epic', in the style of Genesis.

I've read every review or impression I can find on the other site including posts from jjcha. Still waiting to be approved for membership over at the jaben forums ...

Hadn't thought of Craig at Kuboten. I'll give that a try.

Good thing the owner of the W10Ltd isn't in a hurry.
