ojnihs Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 Fuck off! It's not one game, if you follow college football. It's the 4th year in a row losing to an unranked team we should have beaten. Poor coaching decisions. Yeah, you got a point there.
blubliss Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 All right, peace then . What a nightmare, two years in a row, coming off a big win and then choking. Not to knock Washington, they played great, but we have waaay more talent. No excuse. PC should have pulled Corp, given Mustain a shot maybe? Who knows?

I didn't have much confidence in USC's quarterbacks this year. The OSU game showed me that USC wasn't as strong as I thought they would be this year, because I expected a USC rout of OSU last week. Well, fuck, I think we're going to lose to fucking Greg Paulus and Syracuse.

They have been painful to watch for a few years now. No way did I expect a blowout in that hostile environment with a freshman at the helm. Well, fuck, I think we're going to lose to fucking Greg Paulus and Syracuse. Tell Paulus to get back to the ball court.
ojnihs Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 Northwestern University: Famous for losing to absolute shit teams.
blubliss Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 (edited) Wow, Texas is struggling a bit. The Tech QB has looked mostly great. Edit: Maybe not. Edited September 20, 2009 by blubliss
Iron_Dreamer Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 It's the same BS loss to a sub-par PAC10 team that USC has had just about every year under Carrol. If anything it shows that Pete certainly had the right idea in picking Barkley over Corp as the starter. After that game, I'm calling him Aaron Corpse from now on.
humanflyz Posted September 26, 2009 Report Posted September 26, 2009 Jesus fucking Christ! Cal dropped a giant turd of a game against Oregon. But I guess I should not have expected anything less from a program that, year after year, buys into its own hype and then falls on its face.
penger Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 That game was painful to watch. Defense couldn't stop anything. And K. Riley was abysmal.
Iron_Dreamer Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 That game was painful to watch. Defense couldn't stop anything. And K. Riley was abysmal. I was listening to it on the radio in the car, and it sounded bad enough. I can't imagine how ugly it must have been to watch. What a weekend of upsets though! And underdog Houston just keeps beating big programs. Who the heck knows what'll happen next week? And Tebow had his bell rung pretty hard, I wonder if that's the beginning of the end for him. The track record of QB's and concussions isn't exactly pretty.

And Tebow had his bell rung pretty hard, I wonder if that's the beginning of the end for him. The track record of QB's and concussions isn't exactly pretty. Definitely. I thought the Penn State offense looked pretty good in the beginning but I guess after Iowa settled down, Penn State ran into trouble. I didn't watch much after the first few possessions. The beginning of the USC game was the polar opposite of how Cal started. Didn't finish this game either, but the way it started, I was expecting a blowout which never happened.
Iron_Dreamer Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Yeah, they just shut it down after that 3rd TD. Barkley came out to rest, and the Corpse went in at QB in the 4th. Didn't take him long to throw an INT leading to a chorus of boos, then WSU's lone score against the 2/3rd team defense that was playing at that late juncture.

Not to knock Washington, they played great, but we have waaay more talent. No excuse. PC should have pulled Corp, given Mustain a shot maybe? Who knows? I would love to see Mustain get a shot. Kid was a Parade All-American in high school. Was 7 and 0 as a starter when he was a freshman at Arknasas then our fucking ass bag ex-coach pulled him after 1 interception and he has never played again. I thought maybe he would see some time at USC but guess not.
blubliss Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Yeah, I guess Carol has no confidence in him at all?? Must be something going on there for him to not even get a shot.
ronnielee54 Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 Who knows. Maybe coaches stick together. One would think if that were true Carol would have never let him transfer. I know the kid can play though. I have seen him in both high school and college.
humanflyz Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 Ugh! Another completely uninspiring effort from Cal:mad: This is starting to look like a re-run of 2007.
penger Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 I wish they had switched to the Miami v. OU game instead. The Cal v. USC game was kinda boring to watch.
Iron_Dreamer Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 I wish they had switched to the Miami v. OU game instead. The Cal v. USC game was kinda boring to watch. Yep, after the punt return, it was pretty much over. Cal does seem to have issues handling their own hype. Seems like they always end up doing better when they start the season off the radar. Coaching issues, perhaps? Oregon is looking more beastly by the week. 42-0 over WSU at the half Not as exciting overall as the last few weeks of the season have been. Oh well.... off to waiting for the Japanese Grand Prix to begin.
humanflyz Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 Yep, after the punt return, it was pretty much over. Cal does seem to have issues handling their own hype. That, and they have no balls whatsoever. Cal buys into its hype too easily, and they cannot handle adversity at all. After being beat that badly last week, you would think that Cal would come out with a little fire and motivation. But as soon as Riley threw that interception on the first drive, I knew it was over.
Aimless1 Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 MSU 26, UofM 20 Congratulations to the MSU Spartans!
penger Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 BCS rankings out for the first time. Thoughts anyone? I was a little surprised to see Iowa up there, but that's probably because the only game that I remember getting on the West coast was the Iowa-Penn State game.
Trav Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 For hire: Auburn University Defensive line. For sale: cutie razzmatazz offense
ojnihs Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 holy hell oregon is running all over USC
