Hopstretch Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 beyerdynamic Shop*-*T 1 GIVEZ ME MOAR VOLUMEZ AND VERLOURZ FRITZ!
Spiug31 Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 The completely redesigned transducers achieve values of over one Tesla (a unit of measurement for magnetic flux density). bragging rights = this headphone has a tesla for each ear
swt61 Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 A $1,300.00 Beyer dynamic headphone? Interesting, but I'd say bad timing, with the HD800 getting pretty good reviews.
Fitz Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Deepak: One might hope they went in that direction, except it say it has a 600 ohm voice coil, and they mention combining it with the Beyerdynamic A1 amp.
cetoole Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Plus, when you look at the high rez photos, it becomes clear that this is just another dynamic headphone. http://www.beyerdynamic.de/uploads/tx_sbttnews/T1_3c_01.jpg
deepak Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Heh my post wasn't meant to be serious Who can't wait for Darth Beyer T1s?
Hopstretch Posted September 5, 2009 Author Report Posted September 5, 2009 Classy herringbone earcups, though. +1 tailoring.
Fitz Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Well maybe if you slap some huge gaudy wood cups on them they'll become competitive with the O2.
dBel84 Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 I had read a link a few days ago about some ring radiator type driver - will need to dig and find it but I suspect this is the HD800 competition in every sense ..dB
jinp6301 Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 wheres the HC required "beyer sucks" post?
swt61 Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 (edited) Heh my post wasn't meant to be serious My first thought was that they built a new stat. That's what they should have done. Who can't wait for Darth Beyer T1s? I can wait indefinitely. i don't think they suck, i just don't think they are any great shakes (expect for maybe the pre redesign DT880, which i liked). I had some 600 Ohm DT990s that I liked. They were nice, but not without their flaws. In the end they just weren't quite it for me. Edited September 5, 2009 by swt61
Voltron Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 I think Beyers suck, but I said it first on Head-Fi. These look like a huge pile of suck, and for $1300 and a rip-off ring radiator design I think one of these will be required for the third place German headphone company:
dw1narso Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 (edited) As T1 and HD800 come from Germany design engineering... they looks very different though.... T1 looks more "normal" than HD800... Edited September 5, 2009 by dw1narso wrong typing
atothex Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 One thing is for sure: it's gonna be comfy as hell.
Tachikoma Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 1 Tesla o_O? Are they trying to make mini NMR machine with that thing?
catscratch Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Just what we need, headphones with magnets strong enough to pull your tooth fillings out through your ears. Shouldn't be a problem though, if the treble is anything like previous Beyers they'll drill holes in your ears first. In all fairness though, I am curious to see what this one is all about.
Torpedo Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 1 Tesla o_O? Are they trying to make mini NMR machine with that thing? Nah, they just want to prove that Ultrasone's ULE "technology" is just plain bullshit.
swt61 Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Nah, they just want to prove that Ultrasone's ULE "technology" is just plain bullshit. I thought the simple act of putting a pair on your head accomplished that?
ojnihs Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 meh, all the beyers i've tried had made me want to pull my ears out of my skull, so no go here
faust3d Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 I would like to try these, I really like my DT880.
