The completely redesigned transducers achieve values of over one Tesla (a unit of measurement for magnetic flux density).

bragging rights = this headphone has a tesla for each ear ;)

Deepak: One might hope they went in that direction, except it say it has a 600 ohm voice coil, and they mention combining it with the Beyerdynamic A1 amp.

I had read a link a few days ago about some ring radiator type driver - will need to dig and find it but I suspect this is the HD800 competition in every sense ..dB

Heh my post wasn't meant to be serious ^-^

My first thought was that they built a new stat. That's what they should have done.

Who can't wait for Darth Beyer T1s?

I can wait indefinitely.

i don't think they suck, i just don't think they are any great shakes (expect for maybe the pre redesign DT880, which i liked).

I had some 600 Ohm DT990s that I liked. They were nice, but not without their flaws. In the end they just weren't quite it for me.

I think Beyers suck, but I said it first on Head-Fi. These look like a huge pile of suck, and for $1300 and a rip-off ring radiator design I think one of these will be required for the third place German headphone company:

As T1 and HD800 come from Germany design engineering... they looks very different though....

T1 looks more "normal" than HD800...

Just what we need, headphones with magnets strong enough to pull your tooth fillings out through your ears.

Shouldn't be a problem though, if the treble is anything like previous Beyers they'll drill holes in your ears first.

In all fairness though, I am curious to see what this one is all about.

Nah, they just want to prove that Ultrasone's ULE "technology" is just plain bullshit.

I thought the simple act of putting a pair on your head accomplished that?
