jvlgato Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 With the new uses that will likely arise, I'm thinking it would be very useful to be able to print. Is there an EASY way to print off an iTouch, and presumably the iPad? Meaning you click one button, and it prints the doc or page you are working on/viewing? Quote
The Monkey Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Yeah, that would be very cool. Quote

Stevie may not be happy with you exploiting the "printer hole" as a means of defeating DRM on e-books and the like Quote
Knuckledragger Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 300 cameras. Quote
HeadphoneAddict Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 The app Print n Share for Advanced printing is a partial solution to printing with touch/iphone, using the computer on your wifi network as a print server. Quote

Dusty Chalk Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 I don't know about you, but I want it the other way around, I want to print to my (iPad/Kindle/whatever) in lieu of really printing. Quote
jvlgato Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 (edited) Is that really why they make it so hard to print?! The tyrant! HPA, thanks for the Print N Share idea. Took a peek, maybe not worth the trouble, though. Are the Saints gonna win this thing? Wow! Trying to minimize the kids watching too much TV, but right now I have the Super Bowl on the big screen, Mulan on the laptop to keep the daughter quiet, and Ben Ten on the little side TV to keep the son busy. I try to save these moves for only the big ones, honest ... Edited February 8, 2010 by jvlgato Typo Quote

blessingx Posted February 8, 2010 Author Report Posted February 8, 2010 Depending on possible OS support (no doubt the iPad OS will vary from the iPhones), there's the potential Airport Express printer output. That said I think the last printer I owned was six years ago. Quote
blessingx Posted February 8, 2010 Author Report Posted February 8, 2010 Two fun quotes... On the Apple iPad: "One thing you have to understand about this gadget is that the gadget disappears pretty quickly. You're looking into pure software." - New York Times' David Carr On the Amazon Kindle: "It looked like something the Mennonites made 150 years ago." - New York Times' David Carr Charlie Rose & Apple iPad Quote

Salt Peanuts Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 Apple store is down.... I think the wait for Dinny is finally over (assuming, of course, they actually update the MBP as suspected). Quote
Torpedo Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 Cool, he's not the only one waiting for the new MBP Quote
episiarch Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 Looks like it's just the update of Aperture, no MBP revs that I can see. They're all still Core 2 Duo. Quote
