thrice Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Want! Compass Mobile Stand - Compass Mobile Stand - Twelve South I picked one up at the local Apple store the other day. I quite like it. It travels well, just folds up nice and easy. Fit and finish are good too. It seems more practical for portable use than the Griffin A frame stand. EDIT: my only complaint is that I wish the joints could be a little tighter. I feel that over time this thing might loosen up too much. We'll see.
recstar24 Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Anyone need camera kits? I am at the Michigan store grand rapids, they have about 10 of them in stock. J think they have a limit to purchase but I'll be here for next 30-45 minutes.
recstar24 Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Two is the purchase limit. Feel free to pm me.
Bigguy Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Want! Compass Mobile Stand - Compass Mobile Stand - Twelve South Got one yesterday. Read about it on my iPad while sitting just outside the Apple store in the mall. I walked inside and bought the last one they had.
blessingx Posted July 22, 2010 Author Report Posted July 22, 2010 In case anyone is considering using a DACport with the iPad (it previously wasn't compatible), see the below. CEntrance -> DACport with iPad Note: 1 Requires an iPad camera connection kit and a powered USB hub or a 5V battery-powered source.
VPI Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Congrats Vicki. My Otterbox Defender case of the iPhone and iPad showed up today. They are okay but I do not think either one will be my daily carry set up. Too bulky and the crazy sticky outer rubber attracts dust and sticks in pockets. The picture of the back shows the gap around the dock door because I did not have it properly jammed into the right holes at that time.

jvlgato Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 Reset your network settings on the iPad and try again. It should stay fixed after that. This seems to have fixed it - thanks HPA!

Voltron Posted July 25, 2010 Report Posted July 25, 2010 I love Cap'n Crunch even though the massive amount of sugar and chemicals rips the roof of my mouth apart.
blessingx Posted July 25, 2010 Author Report Posted July 25, 2010 That's why Quisp was so great. Cap'n Crunch in a smoothish UFO shape. Quisp was also all about the highs.

Grahame Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 It’s not exactly official, but should also surprise no one: According to a new study the psychological profile of iPad owners can be summed up as “selfish elites” while have-not critics are “independent geeks.” iPad Owners Are ‘Selfish Elites.’ Critics Are ‘Independent Geeks.’ Discuss. | Epicenter*| Wired.com
blessingx Posted July 27, 2010 Author Report Posted July 27, 2010 (edited) Damn. A tea-bagger called me 'part of the elite' last week and now this. "People with kind, humble personalities are unlikely to know what the iPad is." Edited July 27, 2010 by blessingx
thrice Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 Summary: iPad owners are douchebags. Non-iPad owners are a different kind of douchebag.
