Grahame
Hmm, T2, Skynet edition has a ring about it
n_maher
get IpodBJ to do the logo. He'll only ask for a free amp in return.
kevin gilmore
Indeed T-_-2 I think we have a winner... That should get past you know who...
n_maher
I think the T2 deserves a lot better.

aardvark baguette
If you want something super simple like that, just pick out a font you like and you can give the printers (silkscreen? i have no idea) a vector of it from adobe illustrator. You can literally just type into illustrator and click save. Just pick out a font you like and thats all there is to it.
kevin gilmore
I was planning on machining it into a chicklet. (a 1 inch x 1 inch square made out of something interesting like pure silver)
aardvark baguette
with hands and powertools? Just free hand I guess then
swt61
I was planning on machining it into a chicklet. (a 1 inch x 1 inch square made out of something interesting like pure silver) Wouldn't this metal be more appropriate?...
Grahame
Mimetic polyalloy ?
n_maher
Show me what you got... I got nothing. But if I was going to put a logo on a labor of love like that I wouldn't put a smiley face. I'd think a simple T2 in some interesting font in raised letters would be much more appropriate.
Knuckledragger
I like the "hidden" Head-Case logo in the T-_-2 design. It's a nice tweak on the nose to certain other websites and amp manufacturers.
grawk
I'm all for tweaking noses, but maybe not involving an amp like the T2?
kevin gilmore
i'm going to import whatever i come up with and then machine it with the 3d mill with a micro engraving bit. I showed an example a while ago...
bozebuttons
Great build Kevin. I am looking forward to hearing it at Cj. I think the amp should be named K2 for the man that made it happen.
n_maher
I had an idea for the chicklet, I think it would be cool if it was made to look like the original T2 faceplate.
kevin gilmore
updated BOM's there are a total of 11 x 8 pin dip sockets. http://gilmore.chem.northwestern.edu/t2parts3.xls http://gilmore.chem.northwestern.edu/t2parts3cgeditv2.xls i decided not to use the split fork turrets, but they are still on the bom. Also the holes for the feet are #10. Should i ever get those rubber things from craig@eddiecurrent I have a DACT in house from justin, i'll show people how to fit it in a few days. Craig Sawyers
I have a DACT in house from justin, i'll show people how to fit it in a few days. You're the main man - hats off sir! Helluva job - how you find the time *and* hold down a 9 to 5 beats me!
kevin gilmore
i added an extra battery to the schematic, output a bom, multiplied everything by two and this should be the right number of resistors and values http://gilmore.chem.northwestern.edu/t2schem.txt someone please verify.
