dcpoor Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 edit: $299 for their first entry to the IEM market. interesting.
robm321 Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Did a good job keeping this one under the radar.
catscratch Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 Driver principle? From the looks I'm guessing dynamic?
Cankin Posted July 31, 2009 Author Report Posted July 31, 2009 Look at the earbud on the right, it says "L" after "GRADO", wouldn't it be kind of awkward to have the name/company logo facing backward?? there's one cheaper model, 1G1 , for $89 http://www.soundearphones.com/shop/grado/318-grado-igi-in-ear-earphones/
aerius Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 Look at the earbud on the right, it says "L" after "GRADO", wouldn't it be kind of awkward to have the name/company logo facing backward?? Actually it makes perfect sense. When you're holding the earbud with the logo and channel marking facing you, it's in the correct position for insertion into your ear.
Fungi Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 Grado build quality + IEM = Of course it is obviously not Grado-made, so at least it might be okay in that regard.
screaming oranges Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 If these fall in the same lien as the iGrado line, they might be known as the J/K-13 I think this is the first time I am not interested in a Grado product. Was this even mentioned or remotely hinted at in CanJam? I find it strange that this is the first I hear of it.
uberburger101 Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 Damn right on the low profile, first time I'm seeing these too. Looks like those UE Metro-Fis.
omegaman Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 I predict it's a rebrand. Have to agree, wonder who the manufacturer really is ?
blessingx Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 From a tweet I received it looks like Grado is releasing a second IEM, the iGi: SoundEarphones.com - Shop Grado Evidently rejected iGigli as name.
robm321 Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Anyone else think Grado is beefing up to get bought out? All this "i" stuff and now IEMs I know it's a stretch but wondered if this has crossed anyone's mind.
elnero Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Grado by Logitech... or Monster Cable Grado RS-1's. I don't know, I just don't see it, the company seems a bit too niche to be bought out by one of the big guns.
screaming oranges Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Sennheido. AKGrado Ultragradone JH Graudio
Dusty Chalk Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Grado by Logitech... or Monster Cable Grado RS-1's. I don't know, I just don't see it, the company seems a bit too niche to be bought out by one of the big guns. And difficult to work with, perhaps.
The Monkey Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Evidently rejected iGigli as name. heh, or the simpler "iSuck." I can't imagine a less enticing headphone than the Grado sound signature in an IEM form.
robm321 Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 LOL too funny. The signature high frequency spike directly injected into the ear. Pretty scary stuff.
