Currawong Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 What about the Ocean, Wind or the Fire? Don't hold back on us. Dunno, but I can sell you on the Air, which is very light-weight.
Aura Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 HF2 #390 showed up about 10 minutes ago. It sounds like a Grado .
Nebby Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 HF2 #390 showed up about 10 minutes ago. It sounds like a Grado . Mine came in this afternoon but I just picked up the 1/4" adapter to use it with my pico. It sounds great!
Aura Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 Some moar pics (as if they're needed).
Dusty Chalk Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 Wow, that etching photographs really well.
ZoNtO Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 Thanks for the pics! Mine should be here in about a week and a half. Probably shipping next Friday they said...
K3cT Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 The HF2 sounded really magical out of the

omegaman Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 I thought the F1 would really wind me up, but to be honest I've almost forgotten about it. It would be nice to get it fixed but I think you would have to have the full face skimmed and then re-etched to do it properly.
omegaman Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 Where is the embarrassed smiley when you need it
Dusty Chalk Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 (a) works just fine. ( It's not worth being embarrassed about.
Hopstretch Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 I don't use the HF-2s very often, because I'm well acclimated to the HD800s. But, every so often, something really just doesn't sound right out of the Senns. Tonight it was the AF Gold of "Morrison Hotel". Much better on Grados. Glad I have them.
ZoNtO Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 First thing I noticed out of the box was a pretty similar response to my ER4P/S (more bass obviously) except the percussion sounded slightly funky with the HF2. I'm going to reexamine when I get home tonight. You guys notice a change in the upper end at all with repeated use?
deepak Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 Gah, still dont have mine Yeah it's a pisser. My card got charged on September 9 (I think) and nothing still. I haven't been able to get Todd on the phone using either the toll free number or the other one. I was really hoping to bring these to Houston with me so I'd at least have something to listen to music with \
Dusty Chalk Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 Maybe there's some sort of cosmetic flaw with this batch.
jinp6301 Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 Well, I got a shipping number today so I guess I'll have mine on monday

I'm going to reexamine when I get home tonight. You guys notice a change in the upper end at all with repeated use? The bass tightens up and the rough mids and treble come good after 50 or so hours of use. They are, by far, the most fun dynamic cans I've ever owned. A surprise was listening to classical music with them and finding them unexpectedly very enjoyable to listen with. The mids and treble are spot-on, neither being too much, to little or having any irritating flaws and the bass is just the right amount of strong, punchy and tight that music becomes fun. The best bit is that they sound good out of anything, even an iPod.
mrarroyo Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 FWIW I have spent a lot of time comparing the RS-1 with he HF2 over the last few weeks. I have used various sources and amps and with all I arrive to the same conclusion. The RS-1 has a larger soundstage (as compared w/ another Grado), it is IMO more extended, and I hear more detail. On the other hand the HF2 has more base punch and it is a bit more forgiving w/ poor recordings specially if the recording has a lot of treble energy. I know we all hear differently but IMO the RS-1 with my gear and my music is the better sounding can.
eugenius Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 LOL, what's with the 600 pounds prices on ebay?
