TMoney Posted January 12, 2019 Report Posted January 12, 2019 Adopted this little girl today. She is a 6 year old female. Very sweet but very shy. She was found as a stray but now she’ll have a great home. 12 4
skullguise Posted January 13, 2019 Report Posted January 13, 2019 That's awesome, too many adult cats and dogs don't get adopted....enjoy!
EdipisReks1 Posted January 15, 2019 Report Posted January 15, 2019 (edited) Meet Mittens and Silver. They already follow me around and jump up next to me. A good sign, I think! Mittens is 8 and Silver is about 18 months. They were living happily together at the SPCA, so I couldn’t break them up Edited January 15, 2019 by EdipisReks1 5 2
Craig Sawyers Posted January 15, 2019 Report Posted January 15, 2019 You are a constant surprise, Reks - I never would have figured you as a cat-whisperer. But you sure are! 1
skullguise Posted January 16, 2019 Report Posted January 16, 2019 More awesomeness! Congrats (and thanks) Jacob!
guzziguy Posted January 16, 2019 Report Posted January 16, 2019 Here's to Mitten and Silver. May they bring you lots of companionship, joy and comfort.
EdipisReks1 Posted February 13, 2019 Report Posted February 13, 2019 Silver had to go to the vet, today, for an upper respiratory infcection. You would have thought she was being murdered. Now she is very sleepy. 4
EdipisReks1 Posted February 26, 2019 Report Posted February 26, 2019 (edited) Silver is very affectionate on her own terms, but Dunhill nee' Mittens is such an amazingly docile cat that I feel bad that that he doesn't belong to some big family. This is him settling down next to me after I danced with him to Stevie Wonder for about half an hour. He was purring the whole time. Edited February 26, 2019 by EdipisReks1 3
Craig Sawyers Posted April 26, 2019 Report Posted April 26, 2019 RIP my king of cats Cheese, who was struck by a car this morning. I'm in a completely awful state - I'll miss him so much. 9
Craig Sawyers Posted April 27, 2019 Report Posted April 27, 2019 Thanks all. Everyone's kind thoughts mean so much. So very much. It is always difficult and emotional when you have to have an old cat put down out of kindness, and we've done that a few times. But it is really really hard to have a cat in the prime of life ripped from you. I have no idea why he was where he was at the time. But the driver must have been a cat person, because they drove him to our local Vet, so it must have been hard on them too. Only had about four hours sleep. Knackered.

ironbut Posted April 27, 2019 Report Posted April 27, 2019 Very sad Craig. What a gift that our pets are, if only for a moment. 1
skullguise Posted April 27, 2019 Report Posted April 27, 2019 Very sorry, Craig....RIP Cheese.......☹️ 1
