HeadphoneAddict Posted September 1, 2013 Report Posted September 1, 2013 Sorry for your loss. When we inherited Greystone when my wife's father passed away 2 years ago, we had to guess he was 12 years old and his kidneys were starting to fail. He's gone 2 more years knock on wood, but it's time for another checkup. Meanwhile he's not been able to gain weight and is still very skinny at 7 lbs. We're all very attached to him, and wish there was a way to help all our pets last as long as we do.
Absorbine_Sr Posted September 1, 2013 Report Posted September 1, 2013 Condolences Steve. Give them some time and then suggest a visit to an animal shelter. A few tugs at the heart strings and they'll adopt a new kitty.
skullguise Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 Hours of fun: http://thechive.com/category/funny_hilarious_photos_pictures/cat-saturday/
Absorbine_Sr Posted September 7, 2013 Report Posted September 7, 2013 Gumball is adapting quite nicely I'd say. 1
skullguise Posted September 7, 2013 Report Posted September 7, 2013 That is one seriously classy looking cat!
The Expanding Man Posted September 9, 2013 Report Posted September 9, 2013 I enjoyed this: http://wunc.org/post/whats-mittens-thinking-make-sense-your-cats-behavior
dsavitsk Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 My Mom's Snowshoe Siamese had to be put down. He had kidney problems, and it got much worse recently. This was the only cat that her husband ever liked, and they had a really special bond. Sorry I missed this, and very sorry to hear about your kitty. Sorry for your loss. acidbasement Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Someone dropped a box of kittens off at the vet clinic. My wife couldn't resist. 3
Dusty Chalk Posted September 17, 2013 Author Report Posted September 17, 2013 You should call him Zildjian or something. Or one of the lesser known of your favourite drummers. PS Very cute.
grawk Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 or a bass player, since everyone knows they never listen to the drummer anyway
acidbasement Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 We'll let his litter-trainedness, or lack thereof, determine whether he's a drummer or bassist.
skullguise Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Way cute, Iain....but, does he eat birds?
guzziguy Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Very cute. I don't think I could have resisted him either.
acidbasement Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 No birds eaten yet. The boys have determined that his name is Joost.
CarlSeibert Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 What. A. Cute. Kitten. I'm smitten. Our cats both have blue eyes, which makes me even more of a pushover for your new little friend.

swt61 Posted September 23, 2013 Report Posted September 23, 2013 Hurrah for Joost finding a great home!
acidbasement Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Update: he's fitting in very well with the rest of our menagerie. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iQ7HH-NR-0 1
