Follow-up time. This cat is ridiculous. There’s still some drama between her and the other female cats, but it’s less and less every day.

And the family ended up settling in Snickerdoodle, and she gets called Doodle most of the time. It fits.

She’s getting very comfortable…

Got a cat from the shelter two weeks ago. Stormi is a 3 year old

who already had a litter of kittens. They had all been adapted out,

but after a couple of months she was still there. She was all skin and

bones. She is very timid and the shelter told us she should be an only

pet and in a home without kids. It's been two weeks. She looks a lot

healthier and happy. Very curious and playful. She still spooks easily.

She follows around behind the wife from room to room. She also has

explored everywhere in the house, and likes sitting in the screen room

in the back bird watching. It's hard to get pictures since she seems to

react by running away.

She's our third black cat. The first one lived 21 years.

She was a sickly kitten that was adapted out, then brought back

to the shelter. The wife took pity and brought her home.

The second one adapted us. He was in the back yard and the wife

Put out food and water. He started hanging around, and we ended

up turning him into an indoor cat after about 6 months of enticing.

Living the wild life took a toll on him. We spent $$$ on the vet to

try to get him healthy, but it was a losing battle. He did go from

feral to a lap cat in 7 years. So at least he was able to enjoy the

last few years of life.
