n_maher Posted June 13, 2016 Report Posted June 13, 2016 I watched the first episode yesterday and want as disappointed as I thought I'd be. I think they've got a shot at being good but people, myself included, will need time to adjust.
Craig Sawyers Posted June 13, 2016 Report Posted June 13, 2016 2nd one is better than first. Or maybe I have partially acclimatised....

Hopstretch Posted July 4, 2016 Report Posted July 4, 2016 "Stepping down from Top Gear. Gave it my best shot but sometimes that's not enough. The team are beyond brilliant, I wish them all the best." -- Chris Evans on Twitter. 1
n_maher Posted July 4, 2016 Report Posted July 4, 2016 Heard the news today. Find it odd that there's nary a Brit to be found hosting Top Gear for the time being. I have to wonder if Harris won't get tapped to join the main crew which, in my opinion, would have made a lot of sense from day one.

catscratch Posted July 5, 2016 Report Posted July 5, 2016 Makes sense. They probably would have fired him anyway. Chris Harris can definitely take the reigns, the question is if the BBC is willing to drop its bet on starpower and take the risk that a show led by a virtual unknown (popularity among us internet dorks doesn't count) can bring in the ratings. It's more likely now, especially since most reviews pointed him out as being one of the few positive aspects of the new show. We'll see.

It'll be interesting how the three NPC old blokes sitcom with cars thrown in works out.
Fitz Posted July 6, 2016 Report Posted July 6, 2016 I'm sure this is where Clarkson puts on his Smug Face (TM).
Grahame Posted July 6, 2016 Report Posted July 6, 2016 (edited) Indeed https://www.reddit.com/r/TopGear/comments/1xiiw6/hammonds_impression_of_clarksons_smug_face/ There's an entire thread on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/photoshopbattles/comments/4rczc2/psbattle_jeremy_clarkson_laughing_at_chris_evans/ Edited July 6, 2016 by Grahame
Fitz Posted July 7, 2016 Report Posted July 7, 2016 So glad to be free of shouty mcshoutface though, the remaining cast has a lot more room to grow to build a suitable replacement to the previous top gear.
