shellylh Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 I may have another interesting little JH13 option soon... Cool
The Monkey Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 I may have another interesting little JH13 option soon... Like. That. Big. Time.
luvdunhill Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 Like. That. Big. Time. that would be sweet above one of the TPA DACs... like the COD (+1 Ari's for sale items), or the Opus.
Sherwood Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 I'd just wire them into the same case. Heck, it even looks like they have Joshua Trees in stock... hmm....
Genetic Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 Want. One. Right. Now. What I just wrote about earlier today? AHHHH yes!!! I will go more often to live shows. There's probably no problem with this toy just coming along with me for the ride... Amicalement

Genetic Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 Another pair entering "la belle province"? Yep you got that right Sir!! Thanks to you my next semester teaching contract is already under attack.. Amicalement
Salt Peanuts Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 Random observation - I can listen to my iPod with its volume all the way down when using JH13. Just figured out that this happens with my Ety ER4S as well - I guess the volume on iPod doesn't actually go to "0."
n_maher Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 I'd just wire them into the same case. Heck, it even looks like they have Joshua Trees in stock... hmm.... I'd say go for it other than the fact that I hate the max attenuation limit on the JT and the input impedance gets way low for some settings (2.2k min). I got to experience one first hand when I was working on Steve's beta22, I was not a huge fan even though I really wanted to be.
GPH Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 I'll say it, as crazy as it seems, I think the JH13 are a very good deal at 1100$. Out of a 60$ Sansa Clip+, they sound better than pretty much every rig I've owned or heard at meets. The only setup I remember enjoying as much was when I had the SR-007 with a KGSS, and it did cost at least 3x more. The JH13 are not flawless, but the sound is so cohesive that it just draws you into the music and you don't think about anything else. I'm listening to Suzanne Vega right now and her voice sounds plain heavenly.
The Monkey Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 On vacation. Needed to do work. Turned out to be much more work than client let on, and it was a half-assed piece that was turned in to me for review. Fucking typical. Plugged in the JH13s to the iPhone for some tunes while ripping the document to shreds. Normally I get distracted by headphones while working. Not tonight. The JH13s got me in the zone, so to speak. I don't have much to say about them specifically in terms of sonics other than they made it enjoyable to smack around a piece of shit work product. Still wondering about the fit, but it's close and I still have a cold. The JH13s are good.
episiarch Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 Concur. Darn it, Grahame. This feels like the tipping point. I think you just cost me $1100.
Hopstretch Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 Dew eet. They're definitely a bargain in Sterling!
episiarch Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 Dew eet. They're definitely a bargain in Sterling! I think I'm bound to. But first need to tally up the year-end damage. This is our first year paying taxes in two countries at once and I'm still jittery about what I don't know about the process. And - and I say this knowing I'm inviting a bit of abuse - I actually feel a little bad contemplating unfaithfulness to my beloved ER-4S's. All three pairs, that's the kind of fanboy I am. So, you know, it's going to require some psychological adjustment.
Voltron Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 You can do it, Michael, just take it slow and ease into the idea of better sound and greater comfort. The Etys will understand, eventually. Cheerio!
purk Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 I think I will be joining the JH13 wagon soon. Need to get rid of some gears to come up with funds though.

jinp6301 Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 You wont hear the er4s bitching with the JH-13s on. Seriously, the er4s isint even remotely close to the jh-13s in sound quality
digger945 Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Someone is gonna make that their forum avatar, I'm betting. How much did you bet? Very cool Scott. I LMAO when I saw it.

mypasswordis Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Dude, just sell them, then you won't have to listen to their fucking bitching. The same sadly cannot be said about women.
digger945 Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 You'll have to wait awhile for a response. Ret-row. Yea I just noticed that. Sum-buddy got a spankin' didn' they.
