drp Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Mr. Monkey, you are without a doubt JH13-bound; look forward to your impressions. Is it Edwood that uses the realiser? Someone does and reports positive results. Might be the ultimate solution.
guzziguy Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Would the JH13 work with the Smyth Realiser? I don't see why they wouldn't work. Of course, you'd have to wear some kind of head set/band to hold the direction indicator (i.e. the sensor that tells the Realiser which way your head is turned). Normally this is attached to the top of the headphones.
The Monkey Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 ^I wear one of those to work every day, so it shouldn't be a problem.
jp11801 Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Edwiod uses the realizer with the JH13s
blubliss Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Would the JH13 work with the Smyth Realiser? Yes, Edwood uses his with the Realiser. And the head-tracking is definitely optional. I don't use it at all. I don't tend to move my head when I watch stuff. I still need to measure and try a 2-channel room in my main headphone system to see how it sounds. I just use the Realiser for 5.1 currently.
The Monkey Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 I do believe that using the Realiser/JH13 combo would blow my damn fool head off.
Sherwood Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Oh my. I don't need to own it, I just want to hear it.
ojnihs Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Just got my JH13s... Happy to say that they fit great
Salt Peanuts Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Just got my JH13s... Happy to say that they fit great Awesome. What color did you get?
ojnihs Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Awesome. What color did you get? I got translucent black. I'll take some pictures later if I can get a hold of a camera. Any news on your second pair Haj?
ojnihs Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Well after using them for a while, I noticed that I lose seal when I smile. I'm assuming I need to get the canal section on these thickened a bit right?
Genetic Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Or dont smile Or keep thinking how much they cost.... Amicalement
Dusty Chalk Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Or listen to sad music. No, wait, that won't work, I still smile.
NightWoundsTime Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 So I picked up my Sleek CT6 customs today, and I'm liking them a lot. I was worried that since universals bother me, I might not enjoy the JH13's enough. That's pretty much answered as I've been wearing the CT6 for about 6 hours now with no problems. Now to really start saving up.
The Monkey Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 My dad wants to know if JH Audio takes paypal.
tyrion Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 My dad wants to know if JH Audio takes paypal. Tell him they take credit cards over the phone.
Voltron Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 My dad wants to know if JH Audio takes paypal. No, but I like the way he is thinking.
The Monkey Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 It's unfortunate that they don't take paypal.
tyrion Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 It's unfortunate that they don't take paypal. I'm sure they would take a check or m.o. after he empties his account to buy you a nice b'day gift.
The Monkey Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Yeah, but my "Dad" likes to use paypal as the headphone slush fund. Not a big deal, yet another reason not to get these.
ojnihs Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Okay, now it's my bloody left ear that pops out when I smile. As long as I don't smile, it seems like the seal is good. I've emailed JH, we'll see what they say. The noise isolation isn't as good as my etys, but the sound is out of this world. The bass is absolutely fantastic.
