JBLoudG20 Posted July 14, 2006 Report Posted July 14, 2006 I have a friend who works at Circuit City. Earlier this year we were talking about making him a line stabilizer and he started egging me on to get a power conditioner. Well I am going on a cruise next summer, so all of my cash is tied up there so I mentioned I couldn't buy for at least a year. So he calls me yesterday. "I have a Monster Power Center, you want it?" "How Much?" "$40" "...!" I had to jump all over this. http://www.vanns.com/shop/servlet/item/details/752246098 That is the center I got. For $40 I figured I couldn't go wrong.
Yikes Posted July 14, 2006 Report Posted July 14, 2006 So you have no problem receiving stolen goods? You got a good deal. Monster stuff is normally available at huge discounts. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=9700386101&category=67780 $40 I?d say it?s likely that he appropriated it. Whatever?.
JBLoudG20 Posted July 14, 2006 Author Report Posted July 14, 2006 Thanks but it was not stolen. It was in his warehouse, in the back of the store. Since it wasn't on display and nobody else knew it was there the price dropped big time. I have a Circuit City receipt for it. Completely Legit.
Thaddy Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 No need to play Detective Yikes...he's just excited. I used to work at a Circuit City in high school, and the employee prices would be dirt cheap for stuff they still had in inventory, but were not displaying on the floor. I remember buying a pair of Sennheiser HD212's for like $14. Yeah, I know now that they suck, but back then those things were the shit.
