cclragnarok Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 I don't like Grados, I don't like Grados, I don't like Grados....
spritzer Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 It's still a fucking Grado. Stop reading my mind!!!!! Now if there were a limited edition Stax headphone...
NotoriousBIG_PJ Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Like Jude would say otherwise? Not that he would say anything bad about them, but he could of said they sounded like something totally new. Biggie.
Duggeh Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Now if there were a limited edition Stax headphone...
wrecked_porsche Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 My God! I've never seen any of you guys go into such a frenzy like this before... Choo! Choo! All aboard!
darkless Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 I don't particularly care for Grados... Oh, what the heck... ordered.
Torpedo Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Hahahahaha, I ordered my pair while all you were still sleeping
Dusty Chalk Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 The hf1 was the only grado I kept Hey, do you know what? It's still a fucking Grado.
luvdunhill Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 It's still a fucking Grado. How do you pronounce that anyways? fawking?
thrice Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 It's still a fucking Grado. QFT. Plus, everyone knows the hype around the HD800 is way more resolving and nuanced than the hype around the HF2..... although, the HD800 hype has had more burn-in....
Dusty Chalk Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 How do you pronounce that anyways? fawking?Yes. Preferably with a slight drunken slur, and perhaps a bit of one's accent creeping through.
Fungi Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 QFT. Plus, everyone knows the hype around the HD800 is way more resolving and nuanced than the hype around the HF2..... although, the HD800 hype has had more burn-in.... I'm on the HD800 boat, as long as it doesn't disappoint @ CanJam and I am able to afford it in the near future.
Hopstretch Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Love the double whammy. Get to shell out for HF-2s and simultaneously -- I guess -- tank the resale value of my HF-1s. Bonus!
guzziguy Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 I also figured this was a pre-order and they will be at CJ. Better to be at the front of the line and not like them than the back wanting a pair. That's what I thought too. I just pre-ordered them. If I don't like the sound, I can cancel the order. Maybe I'll think that they are great or maybe I won't.
boomana Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Well, I was slow in getting my order in (about 2:30PM), and Todd said he'd sold around 50 at that time. I'm hoping to pick mine up at CanJam as well, but I think I'm at the end of that line.
Currawong Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 Someone should do a Head-Case exclusive headphone. Gold plated HD800 maybe. I think it needs an engraved shovel. HF-1's aren't my style, so I can happily pass on this headphone. It'll be HD-800s or Stax as my choice soon.
catscratch Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 Forcing myself to pass this one up. Finances aren't great and I simply don't need it. Not that this has ever stopped me before but, you know... trying to be more responsible, mature, and all that nonsense.
tyrion Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 Well, I was slow in getting my order in (about 2:30PM), and Todd said he'd sold around 50 at that time. I'm hoping to pick mine up at CanJam as well, but I think I'm at the end of that line. I may have missed the pick up at CJ boat. My order went in at around 4:30. I only bought them because all the cool kids did. I liked the HF-1, especially with wood (as in Headphile). I probably should buy a second pair and find someone to woody and re-wire them. That decision will wait until I hear them at CJ.
n_maher Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 I wonder if the masses will cry if the first thing I do at Canjam is lop off the stock plug and solder on a 4-pin XLR?
Salt Peanuts Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 I wonder if the masses will cry if the first thing I do at Canjam is lop off the stock plug and solder on a 4-pin XLR? Dew eet. I'll be expecting pics.
