justin Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 how would you separate the wood and metal cups?
grawk Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 how would you separate the wood and metal cups? heat
Looser101 Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 I'd be in for it; black-anodized cups would make me drool. x2
parhelictriangle Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 How about changing the shipping address to be your work? That should be safe. On second thought, maybe not. I assume that there are other lawyers there. I'm also assuming that there is someone there even though you are away. Heh; I worked for a bunch of greedy corporate law partners who decided it was best to lay off all of their first year associates 6 months after hiring them. I'd say they'd probably take the HF2s and run, but then again the headphones don't say Bose or QuietComfort (or 760il) anywhere on them. At least I made a decent amount of money off the fat cats for half a year-- the HF2s are my consolation prize for all the 14 hour days. I'll give Todd a call with my timing issue. I've been trying to avoid calling him because. . . well, because he's so frigging nice and I'm sure he's battling a few migraines right now. Incidentally, I still remember being shocked the first time I called TTVJ and none other than Todd himself answered the phone (and cheerfully!). Thought stuff like that went the way of the dodo right around the time Ford started that assembly line.

I sure don't want to speak for him, but I think he truly enjoys talking to his customers as well. Give him a call. He'll work with you.

terriblepaulz Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 Go in-house. Being the client is MOAR FUN! Or you could hang a shingle, and answer your own phone - like Todd.
peepee-king Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 Does anybody know how many are left? I'm thinking about ordering on Monday...

I sure don't want to speak for him, but I think he truly enjoys talking to his customers as well. Give him a call. He'll work with you. Usually Todd is really happy to talk with customers. However, he's between a rock and a hard place regarding the HF2 and probably wishes he'd never heard "HF2". 12 I thought it was 42.
peepee-king Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 Ahh crap, only that many? Are they doing a flat rate shipping for this or am I going to have to cop that huge fee TTVJ charges for international orders? EDIT: Wow $40USD for shipping, that's a real bummer...

EDIT: Wow $40USD for shipping, that's a real bummer... the fuck did you expect? $40 is probably worth it, once they are gone the prices will inevitably shoot up a bit.
blubliss Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 $40 seems very reasonable for shipping to the bottom of the Earth.
grawk Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 Your other option for a comparable pair of headphones is $1000 for vintage brown band pink driver rs1s, if someone will sell to you.
Cankin Posted July 12, 2009 Author Report Posted July 12, 2009 Does Grado stock drivers for headphones like HF-1/HF-2 in case they need to be replaced?
Sherwood Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 They just recommend you pull them out of an SR-60
Nenso Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 I finally decided to order one only a while ago so mine is probably among the last few to be sent out. How many has been sent out already?
ecclesand Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 I finally decided to order one only a while ago so mine is probably among the last few to be sent out. How many has been sent out already? 3 You should see yours during the first quarter of 2012.
saint.panda Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 I finally decided to order one only a while ago so mine is probably among the last few to be sent out. How many has been sent out already? Not too many, around 50-100, and Todd says he ships around 50 a week.
rodentdog Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 Only found out about these by accident. HERE! not on HF. Hadn't been to either site for a while...and bam! ordered mine on 7/9, I lucked out. I hope some of those on HF are having some cheese with their "whine" about the engraving issue. Hope mine are 1derful.
guzziguy Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 Why do you feel the need to come here and whine about people whining elsewhere?
Nenso Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 haha, welcome to Head-case! Let's both hope our HF-2s will arrive before the end of the year.
