I'm sure a lot of their behavior makes sense on whatever planet they come from. Things like loving to sit on the corner, and only the corner, of a bed. Knuckledragger
Quote For 2 channel audio using a Hegel H590 For home theater running in 7.2.4 Atmos. I’m using an Athem MRX 1120 as a processor and to power the the surround channels. The Hegel supplies power to the Blades In pass through mode and the REF 4 C center channel is powered separately by a Parasound JC1. For the Atmos height speakers I am utilizing 4x Ci200RR-THX Ultimate channels in wall. The 4x remaining side channels and rears I’m using the Ci3160RL-THX Ultra2’s in wall. The Low frequencies are handled by a pair of JL Fathom F113’s.
Knuckledragger
Quote The main components are the Tannoy Cheviot speakers, Luxman L-100, Thorens TD-145 in an oversized plinth + Ortofon 2M Bronze, and Topping D30 DAC. Very coherent sound out of this system, with great imaging, and sweet vocals (been listening to a lot of Cyrille Aimée recently, highly recommend her live album and her album "Just The Two Of Us"). The room has been treated with 10cm thick Polymax Absorb XHD 100 (the Australian audiophile's insulation of choice when it comes to DIY acoustic absorption panels) on the window, side walls, and ceiling, and doubled up as bass traps for the front corners. Compared to pre-treatment, this room rang like a bell. Much better now. Conventional wisdom says to diffuse the front wall as opposed to absorb, but I had excess insulation at the time and no diffusion panels, so I figure I'd give it a shot. Big bonus being that outside noise is greatly attenuated. I'll probably give diffusion a go some time down the line. The latest addition is actually that little gizmo attached to the volume knob. It's a stepper motor controlled by an Arduino, that allows me to control the volume remotely.
