digger945
Monitor Audio PL300. I dream about it every day and one day, I will own a set. I lust. I can't thank you enough for posting those pics. Really.
ktm
I just got a 10 year pile of stereophile mags from a local guy here in Dallas. The print was so small, I finally broke down and got a pair of reading glasses. But there's lot of pictures. IF we ever finish with speakers, there's always some of those high end turntables, too. Here's a couple sets I can reach out and touch in my office! Damn, I can't find the pictures of the Rega R3's. But's here's Hales, Proacs, and PI's
Knuckledragger
Hey, I'd be interested in masturbating to that old pile of magazines perusing them, if you determine that said box still exists. I'd pay shipping both ways and stuff. And/or buy them, if you're interested in letting them go. If I can locate the box, I'm open to that idea. I did ask Mum about it when I was last visiting her. I have some old RPG books and other geeky shit (cough cough Model Railroader) down there as well. She reminded me that the basement flooded in around 1997, and some of that didn't survive. \ I'm hoping the audio mags are okay.
Dusty Chalk
Yeah, if they're flood damaged, I should probably pass (highly allergic to mold). Thanks for looking into it, but there's no rush, so whenever is fine.
Hopstretch
I lust. I can't thank you enough for posting those pics. Really. Looking at the considerate way they've upholstered those rear ports, you could probably even consummate your love if you chose to.

Jesus guys, you must have huge cocks, mine would be like a hotdog in a PL300 port hallway.

feckn_eejit
"a little" tmi indeed.
Fitz
Yeah, and here I was originally gonna make a comment about the ports looking a little too small to use.
Hopstretch
Audio-Tekne SP-9301S. Price "TBD" but the Ale midranges alone cost $65,000 as parts. From Jonathan Valin's blog about Japanese audio, which I've found pretty interesting.

JBLoudG20
The design looks a lot like the Muon's. Or visa-versa.
Dusty Chalk
Almost verbatim. Maybe it's something about the physics of the baffle.

Dusty Chalk
No, I don't. Or maybe it's so that it resembles the classic woman's figure/coke bottle shape.
