Upgraded speakers to the Marten Coltrane Tenors and also picked up a new turntable, the EAR Discmaster.  STILL dialing in the setup...been with the speakers for about 2 weeks or so.

Rockport Atria are amazing speakers, beautiful sound, I dream with owning one pair since I heard them two months ago.

A friend has them with an Ayre AX-5 Twenty, a Rega RP10 turntable with Aphelion cartridge and Accuphase C37 phono preamp, and good treated room. Sound is fkn glorious.

Rockport make exceptionally serious products, mainly speakers now.  Only ever heard them (the Arrakis) at an audio show, and it left a lasting impression.  But the original product was a phenomenal turntable with parallel tracking arm. When they come up for sale very occasionally the price looks like telephone numbers.  Looks like this:

Andy Payor is THE man, if I had that kind of money I would spend it on a Rockport speaker, never heard that kind of detail in such a relaxed manner, and I only heard the entry level model, scary stuff.

Didn't heard the turntable but knowing how serious that man is, sound must be impressive.

I could hear this babies yesterday in that exact room (picture is not mine)...WOW

Speakers are YG Sonja 1.2, and the amplifier was Accuphase A-70...best sound I heard, transient response is crazy, better than in my sr-207, they never sounded sibilant or harsh and sounstage was taller than me (like almost 2 meters tall)...I want to sell my fckn house

It's a good thing my actual penis is large, 'cause ain't no way I can run with those dogs.

I guess I've got the best of both worlds.  ;)

Six years of saving and waiting for the right chance to hit. Started with the Carmels, then the Kipod II signatures, and now these. They are the exact same speaker as the Sonja 1.2 only in the pre Sonja skin (Anat). Paired with  my BAT front end and the AudioNet amps, just great music.  Have not stopped smiling in a month.  Crazy good with the all BAT gear, even better now.

Have not yet had the opportunity to hear any of their speakers myself, but have never read a review that wasn't extremely complimentary.

Ever in the N. Virginia area, look me up.

Here's some info/specs on the amps if anyone is interested. DC coupled, control and power way above there watts. The finest electronics I've heard to date.  The BAT REX tube amps and the Tenor hybrid amps were the best I had heard with the YG speakers. But these are a cut above.

It just seems that for something like this which says they have FET input (I read somewhere) and presumably a whole lot of feedback in the circuit, that number is probably wrong (the balanced number particularly).

Numbers I think are right. Why I don't know? You can email the designer and probably get exact answers to design, probably by Monday or teus.

They blew me and wife away. We went to GTT audio in NJ to spend the day listening to the new Sonja XV speakers. We listened to the Sonja 1.2 with the small AudioNet  "AMP 1 v2" stereo amp. Bought it, brought it home sunday. By weds called and asked if he had  the AMP monos in stock and would he give me my money back on the stereo amp. He said yes and drove back up to NJ and picked up the monos.  I had never heard the gear with anything before that day. Now I'm saving and selling stuff to replace my BAT preamp with one of the AudioNet pre's.
