morphsci Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 i don't get drunk. Then you need to drink moar.
JBLoudG20 Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 i don't get drunk. I'll let Al take care of that one
Augsburger Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 (edited) are you bringing your Cap so i don't have to, Greg? Ahh, I really wasn't planning on it. The way I have it set up in my bedroom makes it a major PITA to move. I was planning to borrow someones GO8 to hang with the Trafomatic. Besides, I am already bringing three other peoples gear and two of JP#s rabbits. Edited May 7, 2009 by Augsburger
Augsburger Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 (edited) it's a bigger pain to move it from fucking ohio. Can't you tolerate a GO8 for just one meet? Do I have to bribe ya with some Armagnac? Edited May 7, 2009 by Augsburger
Icarium Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 HD800s TTVJ FET-A BHSE/O2 Digipete's Dynamight (Assuming it's going to be there) Frank Cooter's amp (maybe... if the line isn't out of this world)
Nebby Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 It is, in a word, tiny. Pico Slim? That sounds interesting!
Voltron Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 i sure would like to hear an AA Capitole after all I have heard about it. Come on Greg, one more item won't kill you [but the just might] *Definitely down for the Smyth demo because like V I missed it last year. *The new Woo stat is high on the list with 4070 and SR Omega if Andy brings his cans *The new HeadRoom stuff will be cool *Curious to hear Ed. 8s on good gear *Lavry DA11 should be cool *audio-gd stuff just to tell whether there is any basis for the hype machine *Some rabbits *HD800s on my own rigs and as many others as possible
jinp6301 Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 Smyth Research Device even if I will likely never buy one since I would rather pay way more for a 8 channel AD/DA and do it myself. Is anyone going to be running Foobar 2K? I'm thinking of bringing along my convolutions and the convolution plug-in on a memory stick. I figure there will be lots of HD650s around. (Smyth may not like this much, oh well). I would be interested in hearing about the differences between your foobar modifications vs the smyth machine if you get to hear it.
blubliss Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 *The new Woo stat is high on the list with 4070 and SR Omega if Andy brings his cans Will bring them. They should be here late this week or early next. Al, if you listen to the Smyth, you will want one, be prepared. To listen: O2 > BHSE HE90, O2, O1 > WES HD800 > everywhere/anywhere Craig's stuff
Voltron Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 Cool, thanks for bringing them. I will try the Smyth but I am not really sure it will grab me. We shall see, I guess. I forgot to include whatever Craig has brewed up, the TTVJ offerings, and the Warthog!
morphsci Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 .... *The new Woo stat is high on the list with 4070 and SR Omega if Andy brings his cans Al, I could ship you my Omegas as I will not have room to bring them with me. Two Omegas are better than one.
Voltron Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 Al, I could ship you my Omegas as I will not have room to bring them with me. Two Omegas are better than one. That is a nice offer Jim. I really just want to check out a pair to see how they sound. As far as shipping, I am a big fan of carrying on gear -- are you bringing other stuff on the plane?
morphsci Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 That is a nice offer Jim. I really just want to check out a pair to see how they sound. As far as shipping, I am a big fan of carrying on gear -- are you bringing other stuff on the plane? I will be bringing the O2's and the K340's as carryon. They can both be safely brought in a soft-sided headphone bag. Not so the Omegas, I only carry them around in a hard flight case so it would be too bulky given the other phones.
Voltron Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 Don't sweat it Jim. One pair is adequate for my needs anyway.
boomana Posted May 7, 2009 Author Report Posted May 7, 2009 It is, in a word, tiny. In that case, I might be giving it a listen on my plane ride home. Just don't tell Justin.
penger Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 I already think the DAC I got is tiny... if it gets any smaller
justin Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 I already think the DAC I got is tiny... if it gets any smaller 40% the size, but its an amp, not a DAC
n_maher Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 My list: Woo stat and balanced ampHR balanced ampHoping Pete Millett/TTVJ bring something coolFrank's amp, again line permitting It's also my goal this year to drag posty out with us.
boomana Posted May 7, 2009 Author Report Posted May 7, 2009 My list: It's also my goal this year to drag posty out with us. Is he coming? From his last post, it doesn't look like he is.
naamanf Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 Okay there will probably be a couple things I will want to listen to: Smyth thingy L3000 R10 HE90 BHSE A10 (w/HE90 and O2s) New Woo e-stat amp
Hopstretch Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 And hopefully we can get your Scotch counter up over $1K.
postjack Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 yeah, it doesn't look like it's financially feasible this year. a trip to LA is expensive.
naamanf Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 yeah, it doesn't look like it's financially feasible this year. a trip to Easter Island is expensive. FIFY Suck it up butter cup.
tyrion Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 yeah, it doesn't look like it's financially feasible this year. a trip to LA is expensive. Keep talking like that and we will have to Voltron to start a CanJam scholarship for you.
