HeadphoneAddict Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 Weird, because my second pair of HD600 hardly changed at all with burn-in, same with my ESW10JPN.
wrecked_porsche Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 @Posty, I cannot stop laughing. You're fucking awesome! I'm lucky I didn't have any drinks with me, otherwise my laptop would have been ruined by now.
GPH Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 The burn-in comparison on which all burn-in comparisons should be based.
n_maher Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 I'm shocked to see the n_maher level of volume listed so relatively high.
recstar24 Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 I'm shocked to see the n_maher level of volume listed so relatively high. Wonder what the RSA level of volume would end up being. That graph is classic, though I am not sure what the brown crap after night on the X-axis is supposed to represent;D
guzziguy Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 I'm shocked to see the n_maher level of volume listed so relatively high. That's because the Y-axis is number of years of burn in, not volume level.
n_maher Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 Wonder what the RSA level of volume would end up being. Ask and ye shall receive.
postjack Posted April 29, 2009 Author Report Posted April 29, 2009 ladies and gentlemen, we have another n_maher win.
pabbi1 Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Ask and ye shall receive. I call bullshit - especially after shaking the pads off a pair of hd600 with Ray watching, his face twisted up like KG was fisting him. He was clearly in shock, and contemplating calling 911... or Beely, not sure which. I think he was mainly worried the Raptor was gonna burst into flames. Great graphs, both, exception noted.
mulveling Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Haha, excellence. Seriously though, I've noticed similar differences as postjack between my brand new white-screen replacement drivers (in an HD580 Jubilee shell) and the older, well-worn HD650 drivers (in HD650 shell). The upper-mids & highs on the new set are just a bit more forward, just a touch more seemingly harsh. Not a night-and-day difference by any means, but it's there. I dig the darker smoother sound on my well-worn pair, but I do believe the new ones will mellow and sound largely the same, with time.
Feather Posted May 1, 2009 Report Posted May 1, 2009 My Sennheiser is 5 years old now...still rocks! bad luck man, get the HD800, looks lot more quality, plus SONY style~
