Duggeh Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 Thinking about it. If the control advantage of the buslink to the 909 is simply being able to turn it off (because the variable outs from the CDP-2 or the 99-Pre apply for either the Quadlink or the RCA outs) then I wouldn't connect it at all. I'd just leave the amp on 24/7.

I'd like to hear some 63s some day.

postjack Posted April 13, 2009 Author Report Posted April 13, 2009 so when the CDP-2 has both the quadlink and RCA outs plugged in, the RCA outs are defeated. \ however, the sound has been OK. I'm going to run the quadlink for a little bit then go back to regular cables and see if I notice a difference.
Duggeh Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Both sets of RCA outs? I'm assuming that since youve got the 99pre you weren't using the variable outs?
postjack Posted April 13, 2009 Author Report Posted April 13, 2009 Both sets of RCA outs? I'm assuming that since youve got the 99pre you weren't using the variable outs? yup, i'm using the fixed outs.
TheSloth Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 yup, i'm using the fixed outs. The tape loop still works...
