jinp6301 Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 If someone missed the apple refurb deal, ebay is doing the same thing eBay Daily Deal: Great items, deep discounts, and free shipping
thrice Posted March 13, 2009 Author Report Posted March 13, 2009 Wow, ordered the refurb silver Shuffle for $39 on Wednesday, used the free shipping option and it arrived today! I'll get it loaded up and it'll be ready for my ski trip this weekend. Kick ass! Got my refurb today as well.
n_maher Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 The headphone shuffle | Headphones | Playlist | Macworld Wow, I hate button.
jinp6301 Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 Wow, it seems like total fail. Supposedly ety is making a shuffle approved earphone. I hope it has more then one button.
grawk Posted March 14, 2009 Report Posted March 14, 2009 Wow, it seems like total fail. Supposedly ety is making a shuffle approved earphone. I hope it has more then one button. Are you the target market if it does have more than one button?
thrice Posted March 15, 2009 Author Report Posted March 15, 2009 Holy Cats! There is a DRM chip inside the iPod Shuffle earbuds! Not entirely unexpected.
Dusty Chalk Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 I hope this is a major failure for them.
grawk Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Given the way the new shuffle remote works, it could just be a way to make it so the remote has the smarts, and have it so remotes can be more flexible...
Hopstretch Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 Given the way the new shuffle remote works, it could just be a way to make it so the remote has the smarts, and have it so remotes can be more flexible... Apparently it is an authentication chip. As much of an Apple fanboy as I am, if they really are going to try and make 3rd-party phone manufacturers pay to play, then that is just not froody.
Dusty Chalk Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 Third party phones and adapters already in the works
Hopstretch Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 Third party phones and adapters already in the works Hmm, allowing simple adapters would certainly puncture the giant-conspiracy theory somewhat. Thank goodness, the cognitive dissonance was killing me.
grawk Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 step back from the ledge. I repeat JUMP!!!@$@#!%R!#$#@%!!one1111!!!!oneoneone!
Hopstretch Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 Klipsch stepping up, albeit with "enhanced bass".
Sherwood Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 I'd say it more than offsets that by thoughtfully providing "smooth sound".
