NekoAudio Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 The U.S. and Canada loaner units are scheduled to ship out within the next couple of weeks. If anyone's been on the fence about signing up, I encourage you to do so! Here are the links again: U.S. Loaner Program (Round 2) Canada Loaner Program (Round 2) Torpedo + Spychedelic Whale, let me know here or via PM if you are able to get any more people on board for an E.U. program. I'm also going to post an open question on AudioCircle asking about interest.
Torpedo Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 I'll send you a PM in a few days. Now with the Easter holidays coming on I'm not sure everyone who could be interested is aware and has replied. Two interested guys so far
elnero Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 Looks like we still need at least one more Canadian.
NekoAudio Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Looks like we still need at least one more Canadian. Since there are 4 people signed up right now, I've decided to do the following: I have a Canadian third party that is interested in checking out the DAC. So I've sent a unit with cables and I will ask him to send it to the Canada loaner list when he is finished. This will delay the time frame before the first person on the list receives it, but even if no additional people sign up you guys will get to audition. I hope this is okay with everyone. If you have any concerns, please let me know. Thanks.
elnero Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 No rush on my end by any means, I'll just be happy to get the chance to audition it. I should mention, you could probably move Toby up the list ahead of mcky and I, I believe he and Genetic are both in Quebec while mcky and I are both in PEI.

NekoAudio Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 Mind if I join the party? Hiya. I saw you signed up for the program, and I've added you to the queue.
ujamerstand Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Thanks! Looking forward to auditioning it!
NekoAudio Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 I just opened sign-ups for the E.U. Loaner Program. I expect to ship the unit out sometime next week, once the initial batch of people I have confirmed have signed up. Really excited to be finally doing this.
manaox2 Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 Congrats Wes, I'm sure its going to make a lot of people across the drink satisfied.
pigmode Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 I'm on U.S Loaner program (round 2), although my time comes more or less in Oct. Argh.
catscratch Posted July 20, 2011 Report Posted July 20, 2011 First impressions: wow, what an analog-sounding DAC! Warm(ish), full, smooth. Kinda reminds me of the Rega sound, maybe a tad warmer and not quite as dynamic but the overall feel is similar. More detailed impressions to come soon.
NekoAudio Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 The E.U. unit has been stuck in Portugal customs for a month now. Whale is trying to work things on his side, and I'm trying to do what I can. But if anyone thinks they might be able to help it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
The Monkey Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 Dear Portugal, Stop fucking around. Love, Monkey
grawk Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 That's asking a lot for portugal. Once they founded brazil, they ran out of stuff to do, and have been fucking around ever since.
BlueDoor Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 That's asking a lot for portugal. Once they founded brazil, they ran out of stuff to do, and have been fucking around ever since. Yeah, Portugal is fucking around for 511 years now,in contrast to America, only fucking around since 235 years ago. (but Portugal customs are really something...i can tell) And i'm in the line to try the Neko..
catscratch Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 Hopefully they don't do the typical Russian customs thing, which is to take your items hostage and demand a bribe to let them through. Always fun, shipping things to Russia.
Torpedo Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 Portugal is a very nice country and their people are sweet and friendly. Moreover food and wine are awesome, and I mean "normal" wine, for Porto wine being a whole another category of awesomeness. That said, I can imagine how must be their administrative staff if they're some sort of a slowed down version of the Spanish one
NekoAudio Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 Yeah. Not to bash Portugal but a month? What if I had been sending delicious sweets to the fictional Portuguese orphans that I sponsor? And it'd be nice if someone over there answered their phones quickly when I called.
Genetic Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 Seems we have a bit more chance up here. I got the Dac this afternoon. So the Québec-Canada Tour (If I may rename it... ) has officially left the starting blocks. Amicalement
