manaox2 Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 Its been 5 minutes since before you joined. Thought it was 15.
Dusty Chalk Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 It expires at the exact least opportune moment.
NekoAudio Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 Here's a couple more for you guys to chew on. "I found the soundstage deeper and a little bit wider with more
NekoAudio Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 I'm running a holiday special for the month of December. Order a D100 or D100 Mk2 and I'll throw in a pair of my high-quality interconnects for free! (cat not included)
NekoAudio Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 For those who aren't aware, all cables are blessed by Niea (one of my cats) at various points during the construction process. As a result, with my cables you'll get much smoother and detailed reproduction of the frequencies so high as to be inaudible to humans, but your cats will know the difference immediately.
Pars Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 I hope the blessing ritual doesn't include peeing on them
Beefy Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 Well it would make the sound more fluid.
Torpedo Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 Well it would make the sound more fluid. and also would add that bit of salt making music more spicy
luvdunhill Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 Well it would make the sound more fluid. "Sharper attacks" (by other cats) too
Dusty Chalk Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 ^ Win. Mine: "eye-wateringly good".
NekoAudio Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 A couple more reviews from the loaner program. "Very analogue sounding was my first reaction. Smooth and polite are two adjectives that best describe the sound of the Neko. Musical and involving would be others. Female vocals shone though and were very engaging with little harshness or stridency." -Pneumonic (full review) "It had a relaxed and analog like sound...which was seductive. For me this was the Neko
NekoAudio Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Every time I post in here something weird pops up. Now all my paragraphs get wrapped at half-width? Or am I the only one seeing that happen to my post.
Salt Peanuts Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Nope, that's happening with the rest of us, too. Though now it seems to be happening with only the newest post within given thread.
The Monkey Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Looking forward to my time with this DAC.

NekoAudio Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 We're going through a transition with the software, please be patient. And no, it's not you. Well, I thought maybe you just didn't like me or something. It's been known to happen.
manaox2 Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Well, I thought maybe you just didn't like me or something. It's been known to happen. No, you iz nice kitteh.
The Monkey Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 I have the Neko DAC on loan (thanks Wes!). Listening to it right now. I haven't had it for that long, but I can already say that this is a fine DAC and I can easily see this group liking it. I have it going head-to-head with the PS Audio right now, which should actually be kind of interesting because they are both using Wolfson chipses, although different models I think. I'll have more to say, but I like what I'm hearing so far out of it with the B22 and HF2s.
dsavitsk Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 I thought the Neko used PCM1794A? I think that's right -- IIRC, the Neko uses dual mono 1794's and a Wolfson receiver.
The Monkey Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 Dammit. Sorry about that. I stand corrected.
The Monkey Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 Congrats to Wes on an excellent (and well-deserved) review in this month's The Absolute Sound.
