Voltron Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 So, was this your first meet, Stretch? Sounds like it, or at least first big meet. Fun stuff, huh?
Grahame Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 O2 MkII, BHSE, Sony 5400ES. My first-ever taste of electrostatic headphones. Which I guess is a bit like losing your virginity to the entire Swedish bikini modeling team, working in shifts. Thanks for that review; Were you ever an author for this publication, perchance? I never thought it would happen to me, but ...
laxx Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 Nate, you left out a rig: What are these things? I'm pretty upset I didn't make it. I hit the gym in the morning and really fucked up my back so I never made it out. =[
jinp6301 Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 Its Nate's Menace. and on you not making it.
grawk Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 It looks weird without the racing stripe Looks like you missed out on a great rig tho, with the tooleaudio balanced mosfet amp...
The Monkey Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 The Menace sounded really good at the Meet.
en480c4 Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 So did your "Team Source First" rig with the Northstar feeding a Starving Student & my HF-1s. Ridiculous x 1,000,000 and it sounded significantly better than it should have!

Ridiculous x 1,000,000 and it sounded significantly better than it should have! Yeah, I feel like my table didn't get enough love. Also, for those who haven't heard them, Ian's HF-1's with the cups that he turned are amazing. They are probably the most balanced pair of Grados I have heard. Nice and warm, and plenty of Grado impact without the migraine-inducing glare up top. And the cups are soft, which makes such a difference. This Meet reminded me that the HF-1 is my favorite Grado headphone even in stock form.

Hopstretch Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 Did you hear Ari's vintage RS-1s? Those made me happy!
