Hello all, I recently purchased an Audio Alchemy DDE v1.2 off of ebay. I guess this is my fault for the most part since I didn't ask questions before I bought it but it did not come with a power supply. Well, I have a few AA power supplies lying around but none of those have the same connection as the PS5. It's connection looks identical to an S-video connection. A 4 prong din. So now I'm stuck with this unit and have no way to use it. Does ANYONE on this forum have one they're NOT using? I will gladly take it off your hands.

Thanks,

Adam

I have an entire DDE 1.2/PS5 combo I'm not using, but I wouldn't want to sell just the PS5 and be in the same boat.

As I mentioned in your other thread, I'd contact Mark Schifter at AV123.com. He was the man behing AA, and I believe his Perpetual Technologies DACs use the same type of PS. He may have some power supplies on hand that will work for you.

I tried that. For some reason that whole forum seems to be "read only" right now. I can't even post. Let alone PM.

Are the MSB Technologies power supplies the same also? Also Channel Island audio? Or is that a different one? If so, I have a MSB Technologies floor wart you can have for cheap.

Problem is I don't even know what the specs for the power supply need to be. But I do know the processor end has to be a 4 pin din connector. Almost identical (if not identical) to an s-video connector.

Yes, I'm a registered user and was logged in. But I was able to email them though so it's all good.

Yeah, considering this guy makes umbilicals for AA, Monolithic, MSB Tech, and Musical Fidelity (that last one is a new one on me), I'm thinking you can interchange most of them. But you're right, you should check the specs. It the power supply is capable of delivering more amperage, that part is okay, but I would keep the voltage the same. I think (second opinions?).
