Voltron Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 Not I, except for maybe the commercials and to see if Bruce sucks at halftime.
thrice Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 It's tough for me.... last superbowl I had In 'N Out for lunch... here, I don't. Very sad.
aardvark baguette Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 Bruce Springsteen? Is that the halftime "entertainment"
naamanf Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 It's tough for me.... last superbowl I had In 'N Out for lunch... here, I don't. Very sad. I would take In 'n Out over the Superbowl.
Voltron Posted February 1, 2009 Author Report Posted February 1, 2009 It's tough for me.... last superbowl I had In 'N Out for lunch... here, I don't. Very sad. Too true, my friend. And that was your bonus day too, wasn't it?! That was a nice little error. That was a fun capper to MOA. Gotta plan another. Thinking it will be a mini-MOA before CanJam since grawk and agile_one and maybe others will come up north for the caravan/bus trip to LA. If anybody is interested, let's make something happen! In N Out ftw! I sure as hell hope you are going to be able to get out of Kansas for CJ09 Naaman, and maybe you could join the pre-party mini-MOA too.
Guest sacd lover Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 GO STEELERS!!!!!!!! X2 .... and I care a alot!!!!
n_maher Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 Have to say, of the non-local interest Superbowls this one's appeal is pretty low for me.
swt61 Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 Bruce Springsteen? Is that the halftime "entertainment" You dissin' The Boss sucka?
Pars Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 Gotta root for the Cardinals... Kurt Warner bagged groceries for my mom
aardvark baguette Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 You dissin' The Boss sucka? very much so, in the stongest possible way
Duggeh Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 Pardon me, but all I know is that its rugby for sissies and not bowling, so why is it called the superbowl?
Hopstretch Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 Jennifer Hudson gave the old anthem some welly! I'm for the Steelers, if only to avoid the sermon from Warner if the Cardinals do pull it out.
n_maher Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 if only to avoid the sermon from Warner if the Cardinals do pull it out. As if "God is good" Ben will be any better?
justin Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 Pardon me, but all I know is that its rugby for sissies and not bowling, so why is it called the superbowl? wikipedia: The term "bowl" originated from the Rose Bowl Stadium, site of the first post-season college football games. The Rose Bowl stadium takes its name and bowl-shaped design from the Yale Bowl, the prototype of many football stadiums in the United States.
aardvark baguette Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 oh shit guys, NFL just came on and said we can't discuss the game without their consent. CLOSE THE THREAD, QUICK!!!1!
Voltron Posted February 2, 2009 Author Report Posted February 2, 2009 Bruce doesn't suck after all. Just letting the E Streeters play is better than I had hoped. I thought they would muck it up with schmaltz. Oops, they just did a "skit" with a delay of game penalty and then he said he's going to D-Land. Oh well overall good enough.
Guest sacd lover Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 STEELERS!!!! This is the best Super Bowl I have ever watched .... even with the flag happy refs.
Aura Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 That final stretch was crazy. Not sure why they didn't take more time with the fumble right at the very end, it looked like Warner's arm was moving forward to me before the ball came out.
jinp6301 Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 Bruce was ok He needs to learn how to slide better
aardvark baguette Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 Ehh, I still enjoyed seeing Docket have a great game
Knuckledragger Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 I had not stake in the game one way or the other, but man that last quarter was nucking futs. It felt like a Hollywood script.
