guzziguy Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Try a buell...they handle like a sportbike, but aren't so uncomfortable. And no one needs the speed that GSXRs are designed for. 107 mph @ red line in first gear. You don't need that? To JB: I do think that you'd have more fun on something like a Suzuki SV650S or a Triumph Street Triple.

To JB: I do think that you'd have more fun on something like a Suzuki SV650S or a Triumph Street Triple. Can't stand how either of them look. EDIT: I missed the S. If I had to settle, it would probably be on the SVS, but then its close enough that I'd just keep my Kat. My lust for a GSXR isn't about its performance. My Katana is plenty fast. My lust is for the entire package. That said, I think I've decided I'm going to keep the Kat for another season or two. From there, I'll decide where to go. Unless I can find a widowmaker for cheap enough
JBLoudG20 Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 you know you want one. This bike is ridden on the street, you avatar wannabe twat. If I was taking a bike of that level, the Honda is among the last choice for me, anyway. I'd much rather have the M1 or XRG1
swt61 Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Fuckit! Laugh if you want, but after seeing these I'm seriously looking at the S50R Rally. The island I live on is full of old, fat farts on scooters, but I'm sure there's room for one more. Black of coarse.
laxx Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 The NSR is a sweet sweet bike. One big change if you got a sport bike would be the weight difference from the Katana. The Kat is one heavy bike.
JBLoudG20 Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 The Kat is one heavy bike. You can say that again. I'm about 90% that I'll keep the Kat for a few more seasons, when I'll be able to afford to keep the Kat, and grab something else fun.

Jeepster Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Wouldnt a Z1000 make a nice commuter? Long as you ditch the stock muffler.
swt61 Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 (edited) Steve, Search = over. Nate that MadAss is Bad Ass! Where did you dig this up? No shit, that's cool! Edit: Found it. I'd imagine that the 125 would probably do 55 - 60 mph, which would allow me to drive it into the city too. Edited January 6, 2009 by swt61

If it weren't that damn thing called snow up here, we would've definitely sold one of our cars and replaced it with a scooter for my commute (I work only 9 miles away). We actually came pretty close to doing it, as it were.
swt61 Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 I had a Honda Elite 150 in the mid 80's. I had it painted Black and had a stereo mounted. It was pretty cool, even if I could only ride it half the year.
Salt Peanuts Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 IIRC, my father had one of those back when we were living in Japan.
n_maher Posted January 7, 2009 Author Report Posted January 7, 2009 Nate that MadAss is Bad Ass! Where did you dig this up? No shit, that's cool! The dealer where I bought my Triumph sells them, and I want one bad.

JBLoudG20 Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Does the madass wheelie? If not, then screw it
JBLoudG20 Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 That is so awesome. A mouse toasting a marshmallow.
Chekhonte Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 how much is the madass? I think they're sweet too and I've been looking at scooters as well. EDIT: I see that they're about 1600 dollars which seems like a decent price for such a sweet ride.

Are they available cheaper somewhere?
Chekhonte Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 I read somewhere that the MSRP was 1600 but it does look like that where ever I saw that was wrong. I'm seeing the same prices that you are.
