Fitz Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 Actually I just went to go take a picture, I think I got one semi-blurry one before the batteries cut out (decade old rechargable batteries... ). I'll download it to the computer shortly. Quote
Fitz Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 It looks even funnier when I have my hair cut shorter like I normally do. Quote
swt61 Posted January 3, 2009 Author Report Posted January 3, 2009 No fair, you look much less ridiculous than I do. They actually don't look goofy in that pic. Quote
Fitz Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 AKG was always planning ahead for me when they came up with their headphone designs. Quote
Duggeh Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 I can remember when I first saw pics of a lot of you guys. Fitz is yet one more who hasn't fit my mental expectations. I forsaw clean shaven and a preserved 16 year olds face. I also imagined someone who would always grin for a picture. The two I'm still most curious to see if they fit with my predictions are Wualta and Spritzer. Spritzer is never going to live up to it and so should remain invisible. Quote

Duggeh Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 It was all sensible enough until you revealed your middle name. Quote
spritzer Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 Well I do have some resemblance to my mythical namesake though I lack the beard. Quote

I was a complete and utter heartthrob in my younger days! I won almost every sledding competition because I had the secret weapon of using my teeth as brakes. John Travolta had nothing on me in my Polyester Angles Flight three piece suit. Quote
guzziguy Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 Well I do have some resemblance to my mythical namesake though I lack the beard. So you have a honking big hammer, eh? Quote
spritzer Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 So you have a honking big hammer, eh? Yup, called Mj Quote
Sherwood Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 It's actually a rolling pin called Mjolnir. Quote
guzziguy Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 That's good! Either way, Thor can help out if Jacob ever gets backed up. Quote
Hopstretch Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 Thor can handle things on his own. Quote
spritzer Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 It's always handy to have a sledge hammer around if you want to cave somebodies head in. Since we are on the subject of Thor, the story about him wearing a drag to get Mj Quote
swt61 Posted January 4, 2009 Author Report Posted January 4, 2009 So my new Original 2008 MkII CDP arrived today. Very nice source. Unfortunately I'm certain now that my β22 is having some problems, but I'll get those ironed out I'm sure. The Consonance A120 is doing a great job for the time being. Quote
padam Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 If anybody in the EU is interested, I found an early K1000 at a reasonable price (500 EUR) http://www.hifi-forum.de/index.php?action=browseT&back=1&sort=lpost&forum_id=173&thread=4697 Quote
swt61 Posted January 4, 2009 Author Report Posted January 4, 2009 That's about $700.00. Great deal! Quote

wrecked_porsche Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 Do you guys know of any reviews or posts that compare the O2mk1 and K1000 side by side? Thanks. Quote
wrecked_porsche Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 Would love it. Thanks in advance. But first, one question, would it be redundant to own both? Quote
