tyrion Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 I wonder if they have any scrapple to go with the chicken and waffles.
Augsburger Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 I'm in for roscoe's Your GI tract will regret it, then again your Cardiologist will love it.
Dreadhead Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 I'm in too for whatever. I have ordered a new flight case for the Qualias after a bit of a false start. I am thinking about shipping out my GS-X to ASR (he asked) for the meet. I dunno.
Edwood Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 There's a bar and grill called "Stick N Stein" off of the PCH, just south of the Airport. They had a breakfast dish with chicken and eggs called, "Mother and Child" at one point. I don't think it's called that anymore.
screaming oranges Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 A 5.0 was felt near LAX today. Anyone cancelling their trip?
naamanf Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 A 5.0 was felt near LAX today. Anyone cancelling their trip? That's just a baby. The real question is if I should bring any gear with me.

n_maher Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 A 5.0 was felt near LAX today. Better to have it let off a little steam before we get there.
naamanf Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 An E-tool I was actually going to bring that already.
909 Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 I'm in for roscoe's roscoe's is pretty good, but they are inconsistent. i'd suggest honey's kettle in culver city for their fried chicken and biscuits. it's closer and in a much better neighbor. Honey's Kettle Fried Chicken - Culver City - Culver City, CA and if you like bbq try philip's -- it's fantastic (they have a location by the airport, but it's just take-out). Phillips Barbecue - Jefferson Park - Los Angeles, CA
grawk Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 I just want to go to roscoe's because it's a landmark
tyrion Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 I just want to go to roscoe's because it's a landmark I want to go to Roscoe's because Dan wants to go.
luvdunhill Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 An E-tool one of these you mean? Epic Militaria > German Entrenching E Tool
909 Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 not a fan of that landmark either... if we are talking landmarks, i'd recommend -- Philippe's Philippe The Original Restaurant - Chinatown - Los Angeles, CA though, it ain't so close to the airport.
grawk Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 Yes, that E-tool. I can get french dip and bbq anywhere, I want fried chicken and waffles
909 Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 Official Website -Roscoe's House of Chicken' n Waffles the long beach location offers live jazz on friday night. i'll call to find out what time they play till and when they close. this might be a good place to go out to eat Friday evening...
Iron_Dreamer Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 Yeah, Philippe's is definitely the better food of the so-called "landmarks" you often hear about. Though it is more of a night place for me:
Augsburger Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 A 5.0 was felt near LAX today. Anyone cancelling their trip? Don't be a girley man, it was an earthquake not a plague.
