I know he's ugly but he's so sweet and friendly that I couldn't resist him at the animal shelter. Don't let his gruff, wild cat like looks fool you, he's the friendliest cat I've met. He starts to purr as soon as anybody enters the rooms he's in.

he's a selkirk rex pure bred. In the 80's a mutant british shorthair was born with curly hair and picked up by a persian breeder. He bred them with his persians and exotic shorthairs and the selkirk rex came into being. Mine is bred with an exotic shorthair.

I'm glad you guys think he looks cool too. One other thing about him is that he doesn't have ear hair or many whiskers to speak of since that type of hair is brittle and breaks off before it can get very long. What few whiskers he does have curle around like a crazy savador dali mustache

how about Lucius Valerius Flaccus?

Flaccus was Horus the poet's sir name which means floppy eared if I remember. He would be called lucius of the valerii (long "I" sound at the end) which is pretty cool.

EDIT: I just did a search of him and he was close friends with the senator Cato who is one of my favorite characters in the HBO series Rome.

I'm really glad that you guys like him too. When I say that he's ugly I mean that he's ugly in the cutest possible way. He is really growing on me now that he's becoming more and more comfortable in my home.
