No messages, etc. It just makes some noise, then the drive ejects it. I tried some other audio CDs and they loaded fine... any ideas? I've had some scratched up audio CDs that my iMac just would not read, though my MacBook was able to read them after a bit of trying. Sherwood Posted December 26, 2008 Report Share Posted December 26, 2008 The optical drives in Apple products suck balls. Having established that: Do you have parallels installed? I had a lot of discs that wouldn't load when I was running parallels -- something to do with each OS trying to address the disc. If no, I'd try a simple restart, along with a quick firmware check. I'm now having exactly the same problem, but it's on 7 of 7 discs I tried last night. I'll let you know what's up when I sort it out.
