Dusty Chalk Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 So who's going to be the first to try this with their K1000's? Looks...flat. Looks like a stomp box, actually, but is said to run cool, so no need for heatsinks and such. New-ish technology -- "magnetic flux fluctuation" -- no tubes or transisters, but does have one opamp. Homely page
aerius Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 I saw the picture in UHF magazine's Vegas show report, and my first thought was "wait a sec, is that a bathroom scale or am I going blind?"
909 Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 I knew you were just busting his chops, but I couldn't resist making a little funny too.
909 Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 I guess it also gives the thread title a bit of an alternate meaning too because of that similar ?spanking? terminology.
Dusty Chalk Posted June 12, 2006 Author Report Posted June 12, 2006 I will take the fifth on that. Personally, I think it looks "rad", being a guitarist-wannabe. Who's going to be the first to try it out? I have no idea how much they cost.
hungrych Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 I dunno, it doesn't seem revolutionary to me... maybe KG could weight in.
Dusty Chalk Posted June 12, 2006 Author Report Posted June 12, 2006 I love the engrish on that site: "...amplitude to velocity converter device..." "...why this ?..." Don't get me wrong, I'm not disparaging their technical abilities, just their English skillz. Kevin -- don't make fun of them, they probably had Babelfish translate their text. But I would like to hear if you've heard of this type of technology before.
Post Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 i guess i was too lazy to really read the name of the amp. it's the Lizard Wizard. i have no words.
Dusty Chalk Posted June 21, 2006 Author Report Posted June 21, 2006 US$3600!!!1! I have no words. They are looking for a distribution deal in the US, if anyone knows anyone.
