The Monkey Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 My rig is near my window and it seems that it is subject to some RF interference. My unshielded XLR cables buzzed, and now I suspect that the speaker cable that came with my AudioEngine 2's is picking up some interference. Is there any quick and easy way to shield the cheap speaker cable? Quote
spritzer Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 ERS paper and tinfoil!! In all seriousness you can get copper braiding to pull over the cable but it might just be cheaper to try some CAT5 wire. Quote

I need some Cat5 anyway, so maybe I'll pick some up. Quote
spritzer Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 Cat5 (or 6 which is shielded if I remember correctly) does make for cheap and easy cables. Quote
