postjack Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Intronaut - Prehistoricisms Saw these guys open for Mastodon last night. Freaking awesome, I had to pickup the LP after the show in lieu of a (more expensive) tour shirt. They are a progressive metal outfit with death metal vocals and jazz tendencies. Cerebral, heavy as hell, and completely undanceable. I think a lot of you who enjoy metal would like this one.

aardvark baguette Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Grows on you doesn't it? Heh. Admittedly, I am still in the 'absorbing' phase. I heard it a while back, was intrigued from Rek's posts. Found it odd, but not 'bad odd', just 'odd'. Only now am I revisiting it. There's definitely alot going on
GPH Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Marillion - Clutching At Straws My favorite rock album of the last 20 years, just perfect... Read some Kerouac and it put me on the tracks to burn a little brighter now
deepak Posted April 13, 2009 Author Report Posted April 13, 2009 (edited) Good stuff Kings X - Gretchen Goes to Nebraska They're opening for Porcupine Tree this fall, and though they made me gag the last time I heard Kings X, I'll give them another chance Edited April 13, 2009 by deepak
