Dusty Chalk Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 I'll probably go down and grab the iPod and put on the Penumbra disk in a minute -- RIYL Virgin Black, methinks.

hungrych Posted April 5, 2009 Report Posted April 5, 2009 I put this on and the first song "Ride In The Sky" lifts the "Aaaaa Aaaaa" opening, but done here with a insane sreaming sax, from "Immigrant Song" or so I thought. But no, according to all sources "Ride In The Sky" was written before "Immigrant Song" and LF toured with LD before "Immigrant Song" was written. This just reinforces my dislike for Led Zeppelin as everything that they did seems plagiarized. I listened to them both and I don't think they sound particularly similar, and definitely not to the point of plagiarism. I mean, they probably were inspired by the horn part but even that is fairly different in Immigrant Song. The Cardigans - First Band on the Moon I bought this for 2 bucks because I wanted to hear the cover of Iron Man, but I am loving the whole album.
