en480c4 Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 The Gathering - The West Pole What'd you think? I definitely dig it. Anneke leaving seems to have invigorated their songwriting.
Dusty Chalk Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 Yeah, they definitely cranked it up a notch. I dig it, definitely. Oh, whoops, it just started up again I guess I'm going to have to listen to it again
aardvark baguette Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Fire Town - The Good Life Surprisingly good.
faust3d Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Lucifer's Friend - Lucifer's Friend (1970) I put this on and the first song "Ride In The Sky" lifts the "Aaaaa Aaaaa" opening, but done here with a insane sreaming sax, from "Immigrant Song" or so I thought. But no, according to all sources "Ride In The Sky" was written before "Immigrant Song" and LF toured with LD before "Immigrant Song" was written. This just reinforces my dislike for Led Zeppelin as everything that they did seems plagiarized.
