deepak Posted February 17, 2009 Author Report Posted February 17, 2009 Pink Floyd - A Saucerful of Secrets (US first pressing cd)
aardvark baguette Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Frightmare - Midnight Murder Mania "Slasher metal". Full of movie clips ala White Zombie, and sludgy yet fast death metal, but with catchy solos. Maybe a little bit of a Misfits influence in places. Not without a certain amount of cheese, but its on purpose, so its ok. Every song is inspired by a horror flick.

deepak Posted February 17, 2009 Author Report Posted February 17, 2009 Popol Vuh - Aguirre, The Wrath of God (Soundtrack for the film)
909 Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Neko Case -- Live at the Tripple Door in Seattle is that photoshopped as her neck looks a little disturbing to me?
Dusty Chalk Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 (edited) Nope. I agree that it's an acquired taste. It's still country, though, so even though I may get Middle Cyclone, I don't think I'll be listening to it often. Like I keep telling everyone else -- I'm not going to force myself to try to like something I essentially don't. That Frightmare looks interesting, though. I will go to my scheduled program of krautrock.

Dusty Chalk Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 We need to get her to do a side project, she does have a wonderful voice, superb song-writing skills, a delightful attitude towards music-making...plus, country already has plenty of hot chicks, we could use moar in the prog and/or psychedelic genres.
Dusty Chalk Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 (edited) It's like an angel giving me a wet willy...FTFY. Edited February 18, 2009 by Dusty Chalk
