Hopstretch Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 David and David -- Boomtown Still kicks all sorts of ass.
faust3d Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Megadeth - So Far, So Good...So What! (original Capitol CD) This album has very unusual spacey sound for this type music. I remember listening to this all the time when I discovered it in 1992
Augsburger Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Its really weird listening to vibraphones when your tired. Good thing I'm not driving I would love to compare that version to my XRCD version. Lately after comparing my XRCD versions to needle drops I am finding the XRCDs a little too bright and a little compressed sounding. Your title should be changed to "Resident OJC Librarian".
postjack Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion OK, so I still don't know if this album lives up to the hype, but I do know that "My Girls" is the most astonishingly good single I've heard in years. Just begs to be listened to on speakers cranked up to high volumes.

Asr Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Robert Plant & Alison Krauss - Raising Sand, in honor of the album's 2009 Grammy Award win
Fungi Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Was listening to Helen Grimaud's Emperor, but something wasn't quite right, so I'll toss on that Plant+Krauss album.

faust3d Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Yesterday I had a marathon of weired obscure progressive music and stayed up very late, because I just had too much fun to sleep. Inspired by all this I put together a cool list of the progressive music from the end of the progressive era. [url=http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/dun]D
humanflyz Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Doves -- Lost Souls Shit hot! I believe they have a new album coming out in the spring.
Voltron Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 (edited) Did anybody else think at first that the big black part of the drawing was her hair? Now playing: Alif Tree -- Clockwork Heard them on the Hotel Costes recordings, and thought I would give this frog chef/musician a chance. Edited February 9, 2009 by Voltron
Dusty Chalk Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Did anybody else think at first that the big black part of the drawing was her hair? (turns head sideways) Uh...no, never. Still don't.
