DefectiveAudioComponent Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 This sounds great. But I also need to get my hands on that TRON soundtrack.
deepak Posted December 8, 2010 Author Report Posted December 8, 2010 Bud Powell - The Amazing Bud Powell Vol. 1 I suppose the important part to know is this regarding the line up Fats Navarro and Sonny are incredible Nice album, some of those early 1500s Blue Notes are incredible Classic Records vinyl, limited edition from the 90s with out takes in 45 rpm
Torpedo Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Sophie Hunger - 1983 [2010] Listening to this one again. Nice disc.
Torpedo Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 After some Oscar Peterson Trio from the Mosaic set, played Annie Lennox - Christmas Cornucopia Then Mount Kimbie - Crooks and Lovers And now the Tron OST by Deft Punk. Probably the first DP album that is managing to keep me interested.
Dusty Chalk Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Everything Everything, Man Alive -- man, this is strangely enticing. Also, I like their whole "badly downloaded images" thing for the covers, it gives a consistent look to all of them: link
crappyjones123 Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 tron soundtrack. just got it. very nice. normally dont go for the daft punk stuff but mixed in with soundtrack-y music, it sounds cool
faust3d Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Symbyosis - On the Wings of Phoenix (2005)
Dusty Chalk Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Gojira, From Mars to Sirius -- quite possibly the heaviest thing I listen to, short of Opeth. Bring it. It will be brought. Lead singer has a voice like flaking leather. And every once in a while, the guitarist will throw in this squeal into a riff that somehow always seems perfectly placed. Teutonic (despite being French).
faust3d Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Can - The Peel Sessions (1995) Woo fucking hoo! Finally got this on CD, minty fresh, for a fairly reasonable price. Still I spend more than I ever intended on it. Very good stuff and very very hard to find in good condition.

Dusty Chalk Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Barbara Morgenstern, Fan No. 2 -- moar teutonic-ness. Teutonicity. Medigs. She manages to have that bubbling grooviness that Kraftwerk managed on even their least groovy tracks. (And I Kraftwerk, so that is no mean feat.)
