Dusty Chalk Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Wow, you're...uh...virile. Prognosis 5
Dusty Chalk Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 The closing track of this album is a 17 minute epic, consisting mostly of acoustic guitar, piano, and a skittery distorted drum machine. It is gorgeous. You weren't kidding. Bliss fucking out.

episiarch Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Jami Sieber - Hidden Sky Eclectic cello plus sorta tribal instruments plus voice. Cool if you like that sort of thing. It's one of my favorite albums to work to. Click the album cover to go to a free legal streaming of it from Magnatune. (I check out a lot of Magnatune music since their purchase license allows you to do things like use it as backing music for a slideshow.)

feckn_eejit Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Haven't thought about that Tonic album in years, recall it being pretty good! Presently: Sade - Promise (1985) Only just started to digest Sade. I'm fucking seriously digging Paul S. Denman's master bassing.
feckn_eejit Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Frak, Promise BLOWS compared to Diamond Life... onto Stronger than Pride ...... low expectations!
Voltron Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 For what it is, Diamond Life is a really good album with great musicianship and recording/mastering. The new album was quite good on one listen. I don't remember Promise all that well except the couple of hits, so I am giving it a listen now too.
