Dusty Chalk Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 1995 trip hop (!) album from two composers more known for their avant garde works. It's actually really good, and has aged surprisingly well.Big fan (well, not huge, but big, anyway...) of both of those guys, didn't know they even worked together, much less triphopped, as it were, the light fantastique...
DigiPete Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Sade - Diamond Life (1984) Yeah, I'm a straight 25-year-old male... Would like to say this is FUCKING EPIC on the Magnums... I bought all the SADE remasters, and they sound excellent!
Knuckledragger Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 That's funny, I was just enjoying their excellent cover of "Single Ladies" Big fan (well, not huge, but big, anyway...) of both of those guys, didn't know they even worked together, much less triphopped, as it were, the light fantastique... It is an usual album, especially if the listener is familiar with the two artists solo works. Harold Budd does some spoken word bits that are a bit strange (even for him) but I think they work in context. Not everyone would agree with me on that. If you want, I could arrange to let you "borrow" a digital copy.
