feckn_eejit Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 XTC - Oranges and Lemons (1989) Haven't given this a run through in a very long time... it really hasn't aged as well as some of their other work... the production... oye... "oo there's a 2 millisecond hole there in the soundscape i think we could shove a few things into..."
thrice Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 Just came out today (I know, I know, the cool kids had it weeks ago): Epica-Design your Universe
n_maher Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 New favorite CD. Sarah Jarosz - Song Up In Her Head
Hopstretch Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 I'd love naked pictures of her. QFT. The Psychedelic Furs -- Forever Now
feckn_eejit Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 load of rubbish, that album China Crisis - Diary of a Hollow Horse (1989) guess it is '89 day Chez Eejit
feckn_eejit Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 The Smithereens - 11 (1989) Quite strongly prefer _Green Thoughts_ but would not be in keeping with 1989 day. Up next is _The Seeds of Love_, when I'd rather listen to _The Hurting_... but it's 1989 day. Interestingly, I'm not a huge fan of _Oranges and Lemons_, and I prefer _Flaunt the Imperfection_ to _Diary of a Hollow Horse_... maybe it should stop being 1989 day.
Dusty Chalk Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 Just don't forget to listen to Pretty Hate Machine and The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste before it stops being 1989 day. (MHO)
Voltron Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 Sonny Rollins -- The Quartets Featuring Jim Hall
feckn_eejit Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 ...I actually aborted on the whole 1989 day thing about an hour ago with this: Peter Gabriel - Peter Gabriel (1978)
howdydude Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 In honor of 1989 day, Rolling Stones Steel Wheels. Certainly not a great Stones album, but quite a bit better than clunkers like Emotional Rescue. IMO of course..
robm321 Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 Thanks for bringing Orianthi up penger. I'm instantly a fan.
